Stem Cells May Provide New Treatment for Children with Severe Brain Injuries
For children with severe traumatic brain injury , transplantation of stem cells derived from the patients' own bone marrow is a "logistically feasible and safe" treatment procedure, reports the March issue of Neurosurgery , official journal of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons .
