Here's what bothers me about this:

"Since then a number of activists have been arrested in connection with arson, break-ins and even for organizing boycotts of companies that test products on animals.

“The animal rights and environmental movements have let out animals from fur farms, they’ve spiked trees and burned SUVs, but never in their history have they harmed a human being,” Potter said.“I think most reasonable people associate terrorism with violence.”

They attempt to justify their wrong doing by stating "no humans have been hurt."

Really?

A human being isn't hurt when he is hurt economically when someone torches his vehicle? A human being isn't hurt when jobs are destroyed when fur farms are attacked or lumbering has to be stopped because trees have been spiked? Or equipment has been damaged? And as in the case of the Lone Turd Walter Bond--they then refuse to pay retribution?

Really? I often find it outrageous that anyone can be so narcissitic as to say "I can do as I please to destroy your economic way of life as long as I don't physically harm you. I still can terrorize you or hurt you financially because MY moral premise is CORRECT."

Ugh.

So if someone opposes PETA, it is OK to burn their headquarters as long as nobody gets hurt? If I oppose alcohol consumption, it is OK to burn down bars? That type of thinking is extremely dangerous. Civilized people do not destroy property like that.

I think that too was tried already--"all nations welcomed except Carrie"--during Prohibition. I think Carrie was a pretty destructive woman.

Agreed. Civilized people don't destroy others' property.
