So, one of the top seven is a man who missed the deadline for applications and was allowed special favors to be considered for the job?

Not only is this New Mexico this is Luna County we are talking about! He is probably the favorite and just forgot that they have to go through the motions and got his application together.

I guess deadlines are only for some. If you know the right people you can get by with murder in Luna County. He has had his current job for less than a year and he is on the job hunt once again. Is he afraid that he will not pass his probation period? It must be nice to not have to worry about silly little old deadlines. That is what Luna County government calls a ''good fit''.
EEOC on the way

Interesting that Mr Gonzales seems to think that the Luna County Regulations don't apply to the HR department he is in charge of. Lets see he messed up the application process for the planning position. He Forgot to send out some letters and forgot to schedule interviews for a few people. The public let it slide none the wiser for this unethical oops. Does the commission even care or understand right from wrong?''allegedly'' The LCSO ''allegedly'' has had him ''fix'' some problems by not submitting paper work on time so that enough time would lapse to help out the LCSO. He does not submit paper work on time in all matters.''allegedly'' How many EEOC suits does the county have and how many more will they pay out on? If this man is hired the other applicants can and should sue the County over it.
you did the right thing

Now that the people have found their voice works Luna County can be turned around for the good of the people. This one little victory is a good start in cleaning up the bad choices that have made Luna County a less desirable place for people to invest in and live in. The idea that people do not have to meet deadlines for applications and can get special favors should NEVER have been considered in the fisrt place. I would hope this gets a full investigation in motion for the unethical past actions in the Luna County HR department. Good job Luna County lets get this train wreck back on the right track. Like it or not our current commission needs some people with strong work ethics and knowledge of County regulations and government policy to help lead them. Citizens thats where your involvement can help Luna County.
