Illegal immigrants' plight calls for empathy, not mockery

Dec 4, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: The News Tribune

It was an idea so bad that even some Republicans on the far-right margins of the party - the climate change deniers and evolution doubters - denounced it.

folks need to stop feeling sorry for illegal aliens. every place they are either in a job or a classroom it is stolen from a citizen.

deport and punish is the only answer,we have tried rewards and all that does is call for more with their hands out.

Would we feel sorry for the bank robber if he said he did it to give his family a better life? Would we say his children could keep the money, because it wasn't their fault that he robbed the bank? C'mon folks, this is nonsense!

So would we not punish people who break our laws if they have a good enough excuse and do we allow the children of those lawbreakers to benefit from what their parents did illegally?

We demand our own citizens be punished and jailed for their crimes and I've never heard one time that people should be treated differently under the law simply because they have children. Think about it...

Children usually do suffer the consequences of what their parents do, but the parents are at fault when their families are torn apart.

Don't fall for the tear-jerker stories designed to pull on our heartstrings. Illegals and their supporters will stoop to any level to get what they want.

Every American who cares about the future of their children and this country should demand our laws be enforced to fullest extend, with no exceptions.

What's the need for new laws, when we refuse to enforce the ones we have now? Laws are only effective if they are enforced.

Stand up Americans and take your country back!

We concur, it was a good idea, as much as was slavery, lynching, Jim Crow, Japanese Internment were. In their time.

History will show the inane stupidity of this debacle.

Oh, stop with this nonsense of comparing slavery, Jim Crow, etc. to our immigration laws and our enforcement of them. There is nothing racist or inhumane or discriminatory about our immigration laws. Jesus said obey the laws of the land as long as they don't interfere with his laws. Since when did Jesus teach to take what rightfully belongs to others for oneself or to harm others to get want one wants and aren't entitled to?

My ilk? You mean those of us who want our immigration laws respected and enforced? Oh the horror! Insults are never necessary when two parties disagree. At least that is the way that adults conduct themselves.

Nice to know that your inhumane attitude towards American citizens in favor of illegal alien invaders makes sense to you.

American citizens are not being disadvantaged by illegal immigrants. Show me your evidence, or else I might have to call you a liar, albeit politely.

The very fact that you use the term "aliens" to describe human beings shows where your heart is. Your so-called interest in the law is nothing more than a cover-up, and a transparent one at that.
