The City of Austin should never have turned over the operation of Brackenridge Hospital to Seton! Hospital administration could have been reformed and kept 100% public!
When this happened in the early to mid 90s, employees weren't told they were fired - their equipment was turned off remotely.

Is not unique and Austin taxpayers need not be further fleeced for another boondoggle.

Not another drain on the taxpayers to be sure. Austin is not unique in alot of areas anymore and medical school aside.
The city has gone down the toilet when it became a Sanctuary City almost 20 years ago and the only thing that has gone up in the city is taxes and services down.
