you are right in most of what you say here. the Rep party has been acting pretty dumb picking Romney a Dem-light. who in his right mind would pick a candidate that would put his Irish Setter on top of his car? He should have been put on top of his car and the Irish Setter in the passenger seat....

You are right about how our system of schooling has dumbed down over the last generation. Guess who has been in our TN legislature this time for the last few years? Our friend and neighbor who is a great guy, a wonderful husband and father and grandfather, plays a mean banjo...I really like him as a person. But he has not done well overall for this county. I am disappointed in that he has not had the gumption to say that as a Christian, he can not support a man or a party that is so gung-ho in pushing for murdering babies---just recently the Gosnell case???? in hand, or for sexual sin of same sex unions. Any sexual unions other than in marriage is sin if one believes in the Bible. But for one who stands for Jesus Christ, then he must do so.
There are plenty in the Rep party that also fit this category, although it is not in the Rep platform as it is in the Dems. And the Rep's did not have to have 3 readings before God was recognized.
Due to the lack of God being part of our everyday life and realizing there is right and there is wrong in His eyes is most of the problems of everything. Follow Him, and the rest just kind of falls where it should . Not stupid, the reality of living. The reality of those who sin and need redemption, forgiveness, and motivation to try to not sin again. And prayer, fasting and reading the Bible daily to learn is how to live a life more to the ways that need be.

Our economic, social, educational, moral, medical systems would find improvements under this. But following sin, following false teachings such as those who do not give God the glory, but themselves or teach some cock and bull story about some angel telling them of a new teaching...and this is how to worship??? nah. even Jesus said that there would be wolves in sheeps clothing trying to steal away the very elect.

Lauderdale County needs so much in fresh starts of finding the Word, cleaning itself up inside and out. Punks walk the streets with their pants hanging is as if they have to maintain constant erections to hold up their pants. No one wants to see their underwear or stuff. Girls parade with their clothes spray painted on them and half their breasts hanging out. nasty. The language is course and in the gutter. Every word is f-this and gd-that, s- h- and some I've never heard. The noise coming from their cars, boom boxes are explicit in how to have sex, kill police, or do drugs.

Drugs are allowed everywhere. People call to report seeing deals going down. We are so hampered by blaze reports of some, the higher ups encouraging more drugs, and who knows what, why, and where.

Swallowing the camels and getting choked on gnats, that is what is growing on here.

It is not a party thing, left-in-55. You are so out of touch with life that you are left in 55 and need to grow up. You need a taste of redemption while you are at it.
None of the political parties here in Ripley, Lauderdale County, or the State of Tennessee have anything going for them that will ever make a whits' difference. Any time we have had decent, honorable candidates, they have been trampled because the powers that be want the status quo.

I, too, am ashamed that priests have abused young boys. Many in "religions" have sullied the name of Jesus Christ. No doubt.

@left in 55, fine for disagreeing,...this old world would be b-o-r-i-n-g as my son would wail out.

We used to be democrat till after JFK, then were repb till recently, when none had spines to stand up to what is before them and our country, our Constitution is shredded.

What is left and should be first is The Holy Bible. In that book alone is all the war, struggle, blood, lust, sin, shame that satan can convince anyone to do. Then comes the illumination from day 1, the redemption and forgiveness available to anyone WITHOUT THE THREAT OF BEHEADING if you say no. Oh, you will spend eternity in hell. But that is your choice. Your body will live on. And you can have your choices, including abortion. You are not made to .
However, as a tax payer, I am made to fund that abortion which I abhor. That is not right. That is murder to me and I am paying for someone's sex sin to screw without responsibility and get preggers and kill the kid.

I am made to fund the education system which now under common core, indoctrinates children in a God-less, capitalism-less, Constitutuional-less society. It is ok to teach them homosexual sex is normal, or that socialism is good, or our ancestors that fought and died for our country and other country's freedoms is bad.

If we as Americans do not stand for what is right, we WILL live in what is wrong.

you're right 55! As long as my tax dollars don't have to pay for it. Then they can answer to only God.

"church" numbers are diminishing, but this is foretold.
now is the time for all to be aware of the signs of the times. the sailors can see the sky and know what weather is on the way. surely a common sense person can view the news and see what is here and on the way.

how about today? some muzzie yells allah akbar and hacks off the head of an English policeman, then says none of us are safe?
How about the "brilliant" IRS gal who gives a statement, then thinks she can plead the 5th? duh, she should have kept her mouth shut to begin with. she lost the 5th when she gave her statement.
how about the rest of Washington DC's corruption from the POTUS on down with benghazi, IRS, Planned Parenthood, ad nauseum...and of course, there is another extended vacation at our expense planned at Martha's Vineyard.

This is so why we need to fall on our faces, confess our sins and humble ourselves before God so He can heal our land.

if you read the Bible, you already see what God has in mind.
It is our choice how to take on the problem(s).
