pretty good idea !!

i mean if you're going to have a college campus that the city goes to great lengths not to attract any new businesses to usurp as the pinnacle of knoxville, then you'd better at least have the kids(who are walking away with massive debts due to loans for the ever increasing tuition)carry off a degree that will let them get a good job along kingston pike in one of the many food service establishments.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I completely agree with your comment, every word of it! Every time you turn around there is yet another tuition increase and for what? The football program is prime focus and I believe that is the reason for all the increases. Just my opinion though.

this past Monday morning, i saw where our governor and top executives from Volkswagen in Germany toured the construction site where they're building the new vee-dub factory in Chattanooga.

our local government is far too embroiled in the good ol' boy crony system.
and keeping UT as the focus of all things knoxville.
any outside firms looking for new digs in the area, pose a threat to that backwards mindset.

therefore we are destined to remain just an overblown college town with nothing but low-mid paying service industry jobs for most seeking employment.

just look around, and see if'n that ain't the truth.
