You know I have often wondered how the river could wear me out so bad when all I ever do is lay around on a float. Now I don't think it was the alcohol!..LOL..Seriously tho..this pisses me off!..What if there is something in there that can hurt us?.All the fines in the world won't help but they should still fine them alot!..So they can turn around and charge us more to pay them off!...??????Dang..Is there a way to win here?

i doubt it.

actually i was wondering why when i pull up in a cove for a swim while out kayaking, i feel rejuvenated.

now i know.
it's the caffeine and anti-depressants !!!
i thought i was just getting hooked on the physical workout.

How can this be put delicately? I've read elsewhere that a lot of these substances found in the water (in other parts of the country) are the "end result" of their original consumption.

Regardless, we drink tap, and I have always felt comfortable using it myself and giving it to my family.

i went to lowes and purchased a in-line dual element water filter.($145 if i remember right)
it filters out all sediments and chemicals.
even chlorine.

and once it had run a few gallons of water through it, no bad taste or smell remains.
coffee and everything else tastes better.

the filters get replaced every six months.
($45 for the pair)

i was drinking bottled water, but this is much cheaper in the long run.
and you don't have that big ol' cooler in your dining room.

Sounds good! Dumb question, though: does the added flouride remain? That's largely why we drink tap.

i use well water,,,beleive me you really got to study and research water to filter it,,,the filters he uses from lowes is a joke, they can not remove chemicals from water,,,only basic dirt or rust,,,,my water filter system cost over 10;000 dollars...i got to use it on my well water to remove iron ,,and several other things,,,,i use the same filters this guy uses as the final filter,,,but drinking water must go thru a reverse omasses or distler to be pure,,reverse omasses will not even remove chemicals...contact your local mCclean dealer they can test your water,,,but if it is not allready clean,,,get ready to spend real money,,,buy a test kit, about 4 dollars test it your self,,

My parents were on well water, and it seemed like the thing was always get struck by lightning.

You really can tell a difference between city and well water; I never notice how "soft" city water is until after a visit to the other.
