Out of respect for the family, no one else post on this comment. Just let it go. This family has been through enough.

Anyone that knows this person knows that is a lie. He was depressed but not to do that. This was a tragic accident. Playing around with guns is not good thing whatever age or problems you are having. He really loved his family and be truly was a good Chistian.
How do you know this is true?

I know because I am his older brother. I was in my room upstairs when this ACCIDENT occured in my kitchen. To say he was even depressed is incorrect. I sat outside with my little brother for 4 hours before this happened and we talked about everything. We discussed how my our father's untimely death had affected out entire family, especially my Peter's life because he was in the room whenever dad passed. He was not depressed, his grades were 4.0, he was excelling in football, had recommited his life to Jesus, he was cooking a pizza and was sitting chatting with his best friend when the gun went off. In NO way does that indicate he committed suicide. There was no investigation done by the UCPD further than there was Peter's blood and a hair on the gun. The officer made a statement based on his own thoughts and NOT after a thorough investigation of his friends, family, teachers, coaches. So for a man to make an assumption based on what officers allegedly told him happened is compeltely cras and biased. The reporting officer was never at my house during or after the accidental shooting. GUEST 2, that is how I know what is true. I was there!!

Ben, I'm sorry that you had to come across this here. People can be disrespectful and hurtful when they're hiding behind their keyboards. And you're right. The "detective" assigned is a poor excuse for an officer.

We don't really know each other, but we've met, and you, your mom, and sisters don't deserve all this. I hope you are finding help to deal with everything that has happened in the past year. Your whole family is in the thoughts and prayers of many.

I think that this Topic is about someone who has passed. It is not about arguing with someone who offered condolences to Ben & his family, and who agreed 100% with what he said about the officer.

If you would like to argue with me, do it somewhere else.

But, ALH, You were the one that wrote about someone you do not know and you feel it is ok. That is not a part of what you say this topic is about. How dare you or anyone say you know anything about this matter when it was you who said the Wilkes do not even know you. So if you wish to continue this arguement as you call it make a Topic and let's hash this out.

Oh hunny, don't get these religious fanatic Bible thumpers started again. if you will notice that posts 4 thru 25 are missing. It's because of all the lil blue haired ladys that live in a different world and cant handle the real world very well. so if you argue with them they come out in droves and have your posts deleted.
If will also notice this thread was from channel 5 news in Memphis. if this had been in the Union city Daily messenger it would have ruined them.

I was simply agreeing with him. I am not here to argue a point about Topix, rude people, snarky people, or anything like that. I just wanted to offer my condolences to the family, especially Ben. Do you really think he cares to read you arguing with me? I didn't come to argue, just support. You can do that somewhere else.

Way to tell it Ben. I hate that you had to get on here and read this....but I am so glad that you set the record straight. I and several other people that actually knew Peter and know your family have defended this from the get go. Seems like all the posts defending Peter's name get deleted.
Peter was taken to Heaven by the act of an accident. Leave it alone people! This mother lost her son, these kids lost their brother. A tragic, tragic accident.
Please let this kid Rest In Peace.
We Love You Peter!
And I hope God is giving you and your family Strength Ben.

Whats so tragic about God's plan actually working? It was planned since the beginning but for someone reason ppl forget who is really in charge. For a family that was raised along a preacher, why is it that they turned to God so slow? Why is it that you are not listening to God when it is apparrent that he is trying to get your attention? Do you think Jesus wept when you wept?

Little TBI , I agree with you! Around here tho these people only read the parts of the Bible that they agree with. The other parts were written for someone else.
