This is another example of erroneous reporting by Mr. Bass. The suspect DID NOT plead guilty but agreed to a no contest plea offered by the DA. The DA made the motion to reduce the charge since all of the victim's treating medical doctors testimony indicated that " the victim had not been kicked or stomped and there were no signs of a concussion. The broke hand bone was a boxer's fracture sustained by punching the suspect and no serious injuries were sustained by the victim whatsoever, especially warranting a multi-million dollar lawsuit now filed. He was not admitted for a beating but for severe intoxication AT HIS PARENTS REQUEST."
It is now known that Stuart Ramsey lied to authorities, and not a single doctor was interviewed by UPD Det. Keyes nor asked for their opinion for the Grand Jury. This indictment was solely based on Det. Keyes faulty investigation and falsehoods presented, mainly through erroneous and irresponsible reporting by the HA. The sole source for the media was the victim's father, a former political lobbyist who knows how to "spin things" just right to meet his agenda. It is apparent that the Ramseys lied repeatedly to avoid suspicion placed on Stuart Ramsey and the suspect was railroaded by this and media reports by the HA and USM.The Ramseys were setting up their $ 8.5 million lawsuit that they have filed for their son's black eye, 1 inch cut and no concussion. And his "broke hand " is actually now proven to be from throwing a punch and striking the suspect. This is another "black eye" for the HA and Det. Keyes, possibly why he was demoted from the HPD Detective Division for similar type acts years ago.
