Gas prices: Unhappy public not sure who to blame

Families canceling vacations. Fishermen watching their profits burn up along with their boats' gasoline. Drivers buying only a few gallons of gas at a time because they can't afford to fill the tank.

From all corners of the country, Americans are irritated these days by record-high fuel prices that have soared above $4 a gallon in some states and could top $5 by summer. And the cost is becoming a political issue just as the presidential campaign kicks into high gear.

Did you see how fast you got slapped with a nuts and clueless icon? Obviously someone doesn't want the price of oil to come down OR the American people to benefit from their OWN oil.
The government counts on those kinds of people (stupid people) to keep the ability to pull the wool over their eyes.

<<LOL>>

All those dollars wasted on education that produces people who can't THINK for themselves.

P.S. <for those who CAN think> Putting Tariffs on oil going OUT of our country, would keep MORE oil INSIDE the country and having MORE oil INSIDE the country would make the price of gasoline go DOWN>

The democrats can argue that it's not their fault. The fact remains that voters will blame the president. If the gas crisis continue to November, Obama doesn't have a chance of re-election.

The president has absolutely no direct influence on gas prices. Anyone who thinks that the president can set gas prices is living in a right wing fantasy world.

Gotta wonder. Republicans (and oil companies) sure have their panties in a wad because Obama poo-pooed their pet project - the Keystone Pipeline. Could it be possible the American people are the pawns in this game of political manipulation? Raise the gas prices, make them suffer, they'll blame the president and maybe he'll lose the election.

If a Republican is elected it will be interesting to see how fast that Keystone Pipeline gets underway.
