He NEVER laid hands on the cop, apparently there's video to prove it.

I thought cops were trained for self-defense? Or was this an aging fat overweight donut munching desk jockey cop?
Don't they have Tasers? Can't call for backup?
Since the kid was Nekkid, I doubt he could conceal a weapon.

Sounds like plain simple Manslaughter to me, arrest the cop, fire him and prosecute him.

This kid could've been slipped some kind of drug without his knowledge, or was mentally ill. Is that how we treat people? Maybe in a 3rd world country, but not the U.S., even Alabama.

As a retired police officer I find this shooting hard to justify. Deadly physical force is applied to overcome deadly physical force. From what I read the officer did not attempt to use the lesser means of force to restrain this 18 year old. As I felt should have happened with the Diallo shooting, if nothing else the officer should be fired.

If this kid was Cullerd, you better believe Al Sharptongue and Je$$e Jack$on, would've been there the next morning w/ some kind of racist protest crap.

Put the race card back in the deck, it's is worn out and no longer has any power to trump.

turns out this Dooshbag cop had other weapons on him to disable the teen, including Pepper Spray and a Taser.
I hope he has sleepless nights the rest of his life.
