He could have taken the officers weapon and used it. People on PCP often get hot and undress. A person on PCP feels no pain and has what seems like superhuman strength. I can see you have zero experience and yet are so fast to judge others. I would have shot him too. No law says I must fight a PCP fueled, naked superman with my bare hands risking death and severe injury.

Just curious, how does one ascertain if a person is on PCP? Do they offer up the information as they are charging you? Are there positive, conclusive outward signs?

Aren't there mental issues, or possibly an allergic reaction to a prescribed medication that might cause the same behavior?

I have to agree, LEOs are way to quick to draw a gun. We recently had a citizen, not a model citizen by any stretch of the imagination but still no reason to murder him, who was shot 5 times in the chest by one officer with a 45 and another officer shot him in the chest with a 12 gauge. All within 8 ft. The man had a set of keys in his hand. The officers claim they were in fear of their lives.

These types of things are, sadly, happening nation wide.

That "Thin Blue Line" is alive and kicking.

Since I, nor anyone I am related to or know, do not do PCP, get naked and threaten an officer of the law - I don't have a problem with the use of a gun.

If I did PCP, get naked and threaten an officer of the law, then I would abhor the gun thingee...just sayin'

If any body other than a Cop had pulled this, they would be up for charges.

That's just BS.
Anyone who is hit by a bullet and gets up and charges again is truly a dangerous person. I doubt anyone who has the right to own a gun legally would be charged for going into self defense mode.

Hey TL - yeah, that's like saying, "If anybody but a cop would practice law enforcement - they'd be up on charges."

Reminds me of a few years ago when I posted at my local newpapers site. There was always some criminal type whining about police offices arresting some low life.

It's sad that some 18 year old has left a griving family but we all have to be responsible for our actions. The kid was at the police station causing probs. If he had partied in his dorm room we wouldn't be posting about him now.

if he was doing things like that in his dorn room it could have been a whole lot worst. you might be reading about the others in the dorm getting hurt or killed

Laws differ from state to state, here if you shoot someone on your porch, they better have a gun in their hand. You can however shoot them in the house.

They figure on the porch you can shut the door and call a cop.

Or...running around naked, lit like a candlestick in his dorm room...oh wait, that's what I did in college - nevermind.

I don't protect my property with firearms. I choose to do it "green" style - I let my dog eat them.

I am lol a bit because I have seen this other places & so far THE LEAST amount of idiots have said something .
Amazing how much imfo. people just assume & how quickly others believe it . example is how people just say YEP must be PCP lol
paranoid schizophrenic LOL
Shoot to wound lol
Thinking someone is LESS of a threat because they don't have clothes lol
Most people including police have never even been in a fight, let alone a fight with someone who is amped up,raving not listening, making advances etc.
IF this dude would have been acting like this to a female student & she shot him ,there would be a HUGE list of defenders FOR HER!
Heck the Gma that was bullied on the bus has over 750,000$
People need to understand that violent behavior can come from anywhere & the consequences, from either side, can be DEADLY! Rick

Yes I knew when I said that, it has come up a lot here recently because of a very high amount of cop/citizen shootings & concealed carry laws & open carry laws in the local & state courts.
Yes understand what you said lol was raised in western Colorado & remember my DAD commenting to a local Cop about how he would shoot a maniac former inlaw if he even came on the property. lol
"Just make sure you drag him ACROSS the threshold BEFORE you call us" lol I am a generally non violent person, but I also see how many people just don't understand the violence other people are capable of & how quickly it can escalate. Rick

Yes was hoping this would make the paper here, just for the comments.
There has been a very amount of police shooting here (Wichita Ks.) most were armed with knives, guns. I am the last person one might expect to defend a cop lol . I came by honesty in a backwards fashion ,although not a felon spent all of my teens & twenties raising serious he** & NEVER was arrested without also being charged with RESISTING arrest or assault on leo or similar STUPID behavior.
I just think to many people reading news stories do not understand the level of violence even "normal" people are capable of or what they would do to defend themselves. Peace Rick

Since you are less than likely to have a gun in your hand if this scenario should ever happen, you pose an interesting question.

LEOs, more often than not, will pull a gun and kill the perp.

You or I, what would we do? I don't walk down the streets armed, though it is legal to have open carry here and not frowned upon.

I am sure I would be fighting hard with whatever I could get my hands on. Weather it be vulnerable parts of him, or some fashion of weapon, brick, stick, whatever.

What would you do?
