"Thad Williamson, a University of Richmond professor spoke last Sunday at what he said was one of the most significant social movements in recent years, Occupy Wall Street’s (OWS),“Occupy Richmond.” This movement is a byproduct of the original OWS demonstrations and has rallied protesters in Kanawha Park in downtown Richmond since Oct. 15."

You have a very sad life if this, in your opinion, is “one of the most significant social movements in recent years”.

I am still trying to figure out exactly what it is they want, they have not exactly been clear. I do know that the DOW closed up over 339 points today, so whatever it is they are doing, I hope they keep it up!

The Dow closed up higher b/c of the world markets agreeing on a financing plan for many troubled countries. They agreed to reason together and put away petty differences, so much unlike the republicans in congress. Isn't it nice to agree on something for the common good of all!!!

The French and British banks agreed to a 50% write off of the greek debt.

I would be happy too if the bank gave me a 50% reduction on my loan.

This professor needs a girl. Any volunteers ? This professor is a comme fascist leftover in a can. He probably had no audience in his class so he traveled north to speak to these idiots. By the way I was walking by today the occupying wall street bunch and a guy was standing there with a sign that said" STOP KILLING CHICKENS". He has a problem with the folks who eat chickens, There was another guy holding a sign WALK DONT DRIVE SAVE THE PLANET then there was a guy who is against drilling for oil and against hydrofracking, bottom line its getting cold and it looks like their parents are calling them home

Idiots, mobs all negative terms when used in the context of belittling someone. It has been those those called mobs and idiots that have help bring about change to this country. I wouldn't be so quick to thumb noses because those terms or words can soon be eaten. Ask cantor. To use the term in perspective, the idiots and mobs occupying the congress, mainly with so-called conseravive views, has brought change to the country. Change that hasn't been for the good of the country but more toward downgrading the country.

LOL As of 1:19 Am 10/31/2011 the mayor ordered the police to remove the “occupy protesters” from the park.

He is scared the Tea Party invoice for $9,000 would have to be paid if the “child of the civil rights movement” allowed them to occupy the park for free since he charged everyone else.

The tea-party should've paid $100,000 as far as i'm concerned.
Who needed to witness a bunch of old couch potato retirees shuffling along to the beat of hillbilly music from Hank Williams.
Leave OWS protestors alone, they are holding the financial cretins accountable for the mess we are in.

Being an ID clone with the IQ of a rock, nobody cares what you think nothead.

The point even the idiot mayor realized is that under the law, the city is required to remove them or issue permits and charge them the same as everyone else.

You are just too dumb to learn, too stupid to pity!
