but if your non-religious or atheists you wouldnt know about which god anyone referred to right? I dont care one way or another about whether it stays or not.. I think its a silly fight that a lot of ppl are wasting time and money on, over something so silly as words. I think there are way more important things to do and take care of that should trump this fight.
Silly words? Tell that to Christians who get their panties in a bunch over the word "marriage",or "christmas". Why do christians get worked up over something so silly as words? It makes no difference if instead of "merry christmas" everyone just says "happy holidays". It's just words, right?

That's where you're wrong.Had Christianity not existed, there would still be holidays during the same time.Various cultures held celebrations in that time.Christmas isn't now nor was it ever a christian.Even if the Jesus of the bible did exist, his birthday wasn't in December, and this is a fact that even most churches acknowledge.December was picked because pagans/heathens had festivities in that time so adapting their holiday and saying it was for Jesus was a way of getting the pagans/heathens to convert.

Muslim/Christian -- same thing. Both have the same twisted value system.Read your bible, it's no different than the koran. The only real difference is the muslims follow what the koran say, whereas few christians actually follow the bible, which is a good thing. Christians just cherry pick what they want to follow. The christians that come the closest to being true christians are the westboro baptists. They follow what the bible says more than any other christian group.

No, the mass murdering of christians by the non believers. Sorry for the comment before about you and the antichrist.. I had no right, and you have a right for your opinion, and believe what you want. It just seems that all of this is just a bunch of nonsense. I see it as an attack on our rights (well, the ones that believe)
and just because we are going as a nation to turning our backs on god (religion in some words), some of us (christians) think that we need to stand up and fight, and like myself if we get mad we get it tossed back in our face and called hypocrites and false prophets, I make mistakes and when I know that I am wrong I try to correct it. At least I am man enough to admit anyway.
I am not perfect but at least I am trying.
Sorry again for that last comment to you. I am not on here to argue back and forth because it is not going to change anything..

1- The school system forces Narrows HS Principal out of a job.
2- The school system takes a page out of a textbook with two little tablets drawn on them and replaces the ten commandments display with it.
3- The school system gives up, Old Fart Buckland throws his hands in the air an waves them like he just don't care anymore on the news.
4- A waste of time for the school system. What a shame the board and our community don't get this fired up about true education, kids, teachers.

all school board members need to be replaced to take a vote and let this issue continue. it hasn't stood up anywhere, it was a loss from the start. now do you see why the school system is so screwed up here. look at the people they appoint principal, nuff said, these retards could never be an administartor in another district.

Willem,
Just wanted to point out that not all Christians preach creationism. This comes from mny of the evangelical churches that popped up in the late 19th and early 20th century. Most of the older, established Christian churches do not believe this.
Once again, why do atheists care so much about this issue? When I was in school, all sorts of documents out of history were posted or in textbooks. All religions have historical significance.I think all this is just an excuse to fight and bicker.

I will say that the giant trailer "One nation under GOD" thing needs to go. Because just FYI that wasn't added to the pledge until 1954. So it isn't a good argument to use.
Agree. THe ten comment also needs to go since it voilt seprtaton of church and state and favoring one religion over others. Would Christain like it if non Christain want THEIR commandments on school, goverment etc walls, have their religion books pass out to students, have their prayers in class, over speakers, etc?
