Brett Hamm did not commit suicide. He had absolutely no reason to do so. The police called it a suicide with no investigation what so ever. I should know--I was there that night!! Brett's mother.

I will be glad to explain why Brett didn't commit suicide if you tell me who you are and agree to meet with me in person. You will be very surprised to see what I have. There are law inforcement officials that also do not believe that he commited suicide.

When police respond to a shooting, they are supposed to start with the premice of homicide and then prove that it is not. That was not done in this case. They took one persons word for what happened and stopped right there. We spoke with a retired homicide detective and showed him what we had. He said that "if the OKC police did not reopen this case they were covering their blue ass". That is precisely what they have done. I informed the police that there was a $750,000 life insurance payout on Brett's death and I was called a liar. They later discovered I was telling the truth. Gosh, what else do you suppose I know?

maybe you should write a book about it, sounds interesting. or call dateline for one of those murder mysteries they run. or NOT. sorry for the loss of your son, but life goes on, move forward and remember the greatness in his life and not his final moments.

that's what is seems, to me all it seems is she is not able to let go of her son/ believe his life ended in such a way, i truly feel sorry for you and the rest of his family but time passes life comes and goes remember him for who he was not for how he ended.

You all would rather believe a lie than to know the truth. In order to know the truth you have to fight for it and take a stand. Believe me the truth will win out in the end and I have the facts to back it up.

sometimes you can be so blinded by love that you actually see a totally different truth than the real truth. the life insurance policy that you talked about does not change the facts. also, if you claim you were there that night, how do we know it wasn't you that pulled the trigger.

Assumptions never bring truth, asking his mother if she shot him, you heartless person. You have no idea what this woman has gone through. Have you ever lost a loved one, a child of yours? She was there because she was called and told her son was dead. Facts is for the first time in years, he was happy, and had alot to look forward to. He had no reason at all to kill himself. He loved life and he loved his boys with all his heart. He would never have hurt them. They meant everything to him. Money is the root of all evil, did you not know that/ Wake up and pray and ask the Lord what happened before you go being so judgemental.

you're right. i stand humbly corrected and extend my sincerest apolgies to Mrs. Hamm. i guess when it came to mind i wasn't thinking how hurtful the words would be. my heart breaks for all the survivors of Bretts family. you never really get over the loss of a loved one, and the manner is just hard to grasp. but i do think that if there was real evidence to open a homicide case, the police would have already done that.

If there was a hint of any foul play it would have been looked into. You we not there when it happened no one was, it hurts my heart to think of his sons and there mother and you who lost him, but don't dwell on the past look forward Leatrice.
