PFLAG is a great organization and deserves everyone's support. They have done a great deal of good for the GLB, along with the T (one of the first national organizations to do so) communities.

Congratulations to those who were awarded scholarships and thank you to PFLAG!

While I do not agree with the whole Gay Movement and I still can't why it should really matter who got what Scholarship or who gave it. There is only one Recipient that is actually going anywhere special at all and that is Troy Porter of Arlington, attending the University of Iceland. I never even considered for half a second that Iceland even had a University.

SCHOLARSHIPS shouldnt be based on religion, race, sexual orientation or creed...it should be based on grades and financial need.

When YOU are the one giving out the MONEY, then YOU get to decide who gets it.

Providers of a scholarship can place whatever limitations they want on the scholarship.

If you want to create such a scholarship, there's no basis for anybody to sue you.

Heck, there are scholarships available through the National Socialist Movement only for white Aryans. Go figure.

I do not support the gay rights movement.

That said, I agree with the right of this organization to give their money to whomever they choose. As long as the organization does not receive any government funds, and only distributes money they raise through private donations, why should I object? The rest of us have the same right to privately raise funds and distribute them to whomever see fit as well.
