I took the survey and I have wrote to the office about qualifications we need in a chancellor.

I graduated in 2005 and have not found a job in my field. It is hard to find a good job. I have applied online for jobs all over the South and have only had 3 companies contact me but no job offers! I have been supporting myself since graduating by working 2 part time jobs and living with my parents. They paid for part of my UNC-P education and I owe $35,000 in student loans which I can't pay but a little each month until I get a good job.

A degree from UNC-P doesn't seem to carry much weight with companies around NC. I had one HR person ask me what UNC-P stood for! Then she asked if it was an online college!!!

What I am trying to say is that UNC-P needs to advertise that it is part of the UNC system and is a bonafied degree granting academic institution. It will take a Chancellor with vision and determination to get the word out to the world.
