So much wrong with this article. But then so many articles in Buisness Week are weak. Little to no research.
Ok.. quoted the following from the article..
Business Week only considered towns with more than 50,000 people with a median income of between $50,000-$100,000.
The U.S. Census Bureau states the median income in West Haven as of 1999 was $42,393. I doubt it was much higher in 2008, probably less in the current economy. The current STATE median income is $53,935 as of 1999.
1999 is the latest figures from the census bureau.
West Haven High school is rated with City-data.com school rating (using weighted 2007 test average as compared to other schools in Connecticut) from 0 (worst) to 100 (best) is 35.
Not bad exactly but not a top 10 school, maybe Notre-Dame is, I can't be bothered to check further.
Wow..hmmm kid friendly. Nothing mentioned about ease of day care, ratings of grammer and middle schools, after shool activities, etc.
Entire article just aggravates me...It's weak. It's not called "Waste Haven' by many residents without reason.

I would not want my children raised in West Haven. West Haven is on the verge of imploding on itself with the amount of crime and high taxes they have.
