Doctors should ask patients about alcohol misuse, panel says
Primary care doctors should ask adults how much and how often they drink alcohol and counsel those with risky and dangerous drinking habits, a government-backed panel said today.

They should ask patients off the record if drug or alcohol use/ABUSE has caused them legal or other consequences other than a hangover. If the potential junky or alky hears about the potential consequences from all sides legal, medical or social they stand a much better chance of not becoming a full fledged junky.

If somebody starts substance abuse,theirs always a reason behind it.Alcoholics tend to get violent,drug addicts seem to be more involved in crime to feed their habit as it tends to be more expensive.House breakings,muggings and robberies.It destroys their lives,the family and most of all the innocent victims of their crimes.People should be made more aware of the pitfalls but we are all responsable for our own descisions.Most realise it when its all too late.
