If the entire news media would quit trying to draw attention and the politicians would keep their mouth's shut and amount to and accomplish something worthwhile, we just might all get along better. WHO IN THE H-LL CARES about who is marrying who or if it's against the law? Somebody must really be paying big bucks for this coverage!

Hey dumb pos, we care about girl brides. And marriages means legal rights and all kinds of benefits.

As you know perfectly well, disingenuous moron, whether it's legal or not matters a great deal in many, many contexts.

What you meant to say was, "I'm going to make what I think is a 'neutral' sounding remark in order to undermine the idea that we or anyone needs marriage equality."

How primitive your thinking is.

If you can........get down to the very basics. If two people, a man and a woman, take their marriage vows with God, there is no need of further legalization. However, long ago the government saw another alley for income and now we all pay to marry. But in your queer situation, you can never be legally married anyway. Face it! It makes no matter what man's/gov'mt. laws say. Now stay in Pa.

........and by the way, I said and meant exactly what I typed. Make no mistake.

You are completely wrong. Maybe that's what you wish, but that's not the case.

Marriage is a legal contract for which you get a license from the government. It confers government benefits, not jaysus benefits.

Any religious ceremony is insufficient and purely optional.

We don't let religions marry people because a lot of them would go and handle the matter in crazy ways, such as mormon polygamy, child brides, or refusal of divorce as in Israel. We're not a theocracy.

It is clear you had no idea at all what you were blathering about, and I resent your wasting the ten or eleven electrons it took. But mostly I resent the fact that people like you get to vote.

It's really too bad what you "mostly resent" because it's people like me that try to keep this America upright and clean. There is nothing "clear" in your queer way of thinking, or I should say,.........lack of thinking. Everything you (?) people are pushing for is, and has been for centuries, unclean, morally wrong and anti-Christ. Absolutely no possible way can you be right. Go live with it....somewhere else. Don't waste my time!

We know you're a theocrat and a homophobe. That is not the immediate discussion.

The immediate point is the simple, verifiable, long standing, undisputed fact that marriage is a contract which is licensed and administered by the government.

That is a fact.

That you hate the fact (or are a stupid, homophobic bigot) is different from your unhinged claims that it is actually clergy marrying people. They are only solemnizing. They are entirely optional to marriage. A marriage license from the government is not.

You stupid and crazy bigots are completely confused about and hostile to the most basic realities. But that's why you have the psychosexual illness of homophobia to begin with. You can't have the one malady (of homophobia) without the other (hostile to basic facts,) and vice versa.

You're outlying, uneducated trash. And you certainly don't follow scripture - otherwise you'd be equally braying about people who covet unrepentantly. And you certainly don't follow the golden rule. Okay, filth? Does that about lay it out for you talibangelical mullahs?

Fundie............you speak so fluently but you're an absolute waste of our time and efforts. Your words prove nothing and in reality you are wasting your life. Don't even attempt to approach me (or the other 97%). You'd rather hold hands with an alligator, they like slimey things.

Like it or not, you stupid fundie or anti statist loon, marriage is a legal contract administered by the state via license.

It confers government benefits and legal rights.

Your insane ramblings about civil unions don't have anything to do with these benefits and rights. It doesn't work that way.

When you have the basics or when you have some content to offer then you may still stfu. Unitl then, you may stfu.

Rest assured that I am very comfortable with the "basics" but it's apparent that they are not appreciated by the lowly uncouth. Goodbye to bad rubbish.
