Well, I guess it’s about that time to post Kevin Tillman’s powerful document,(for those who haven’t read it yet)
Especially now since he spoke and still speaks the truth. Boy does he speak the truth. And he says the things I would have liked to have said, only he says far better then I ever could. And it never seems to be out of date since nothing has really changed since he wrote it several years ago. And what better gift then to post what Kevin Tillman had to say.

Kevin Tillman joined the Army with his brother Pat in 2002, and they served together in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pat was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004 (was it friendly fire or was it premeditated murder?).

“Somehow back at home, support for the soldiers meant having a five-year-old kindergartener scribble a picture with crayons and send it overseas, or slapping stickers on cars, or lobbying Congress for an extra pad in a helmet. It’s interesting that a soldier on his third or fourth tour should care about a drawing from a five-year-old; or a faded sticker on a car as his friends die around him; or an extra pad in a helmet, as if it will protect him when an IED throws his vehicle 50 feet into the air as his body comes apart and his skin melts to the seat.
Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes.
Somehow American leadership, whose only credit is lying to its people and illegally invading a nation, has been allowed to steal the courage, virtue and honor of its soldiers on the ground.
Somehow those afraid to fight an illegal invasion decades ago are allowed to send soldiers to die for an illegal invasion they started.
Somehow faking character, virtue and strength is tolerated.
Somehow profiting from tragedy and horror is tolerated.
Somehow the death of tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people is tolerated.
Somehow subversion of the Bill of Rights and The Constitution is tolerated.
Somehow suspension of Habeas Corpus is supposed to keep this country safe.
Somehow torture is tolerated.
Somehow lying is tolerated.
Somehow reason is being discarded for faith, dogma, and nonsense.
Somehow American leadership managed to create a more dangerous world.
Somehow a narrative is more important than reality.
Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is.
Somehow the most reasonable, trusted and respected country in the world has become one of the most irrational, belligerent, feared, and distrusted countries in the world.
Somehow being politically informed, diligent, and skeptical has been replaced by apathy through active ignorance.
Somehow the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country.
Somehow this is tolerated.
Somehow nobody is accountable for this.
In a democracy, the policy of the leaders is the policy of the people. So don’t be shocked when our grandkids bury much of this generation as traitors to the nation, to the world and to humanity. Most likely, they will come to know that “somehow” was nurtured by fear, insecurity and indifference, leaving the country vulnerable to unchecked, unchallenged parasites. Luckily this country is still a democracy. People still have a voice

Brother and Friend of Pat Tillman,
Kevin Tillman

The important thing is that Pat Tillman is in a far better place now, now that God is his President and he no longer has to look at bush’s face and listen to his stupid voice anymore…

I wish I could provide a link. The results wre announced on the Rachel Maddow show. I'm sure you don't agree with her politically, but she was citing what clearly seemed a very legitimate survey.

Oh come on....liberal msnbc????:) Republicans only listen to Fox. So although they didn't ask about the debate the FOX news has this to say:
Obama Leads McCain
A new FOX News Poll shows Obama recaptured the lead over McCain 45 percent to 39 percent
and in a recent poll 65% of FOX NEWS RESPONDENTS say they would be extremely proud/or proud of have Obama as president.
Fox news site also lists the "untruths" of the debates, and McCain lied more than Obama according to FOX. In fact...the bear DNA he slammed, actually helped his cause and was a republican driven study. It will release bears from the endangered list and open more Montana land to loggers and miners. He is such a moron.
Hmmm...can't wait to see the FOX NEWS poll about the debate. It was an Obama slam dunk. I wish they had more time for McCain to explain why 10 days ago he was screaming that the economy was fundamentally sound. What a blunder.
At about an hour after the debate, the Fox News poll on Who won the debate had 89% saying that McCain won, 11% saying that Obama won. 1% were undecided.

Rachel Maddow "cited" what clearly "seemed" a very legitimate survey that you have NO link to prove because Rachel, of all people, said this on her show. Never mind that it's Rachel, but the fact that to you it "SEEMED" to be a very legitimate survey. I think you're full of B.S.

I guess it depends on which station you watched and who was picked to poll on how you would see the "winner" . What I seen was a weak McCain acting very disespectful to his opposition. He did not want to even extend his hand in a friendly fire situation...how would this go over with world leaders?? he would have every country aiming a nuke our way...Did he even mention Bin Laden?nope....but he didsay ...when I was a POW...sheesh that was before I was even born get over it and stop using it....at least you lived...The debate I saw showed Obama the thinker Obama the wise and McCain the bitter old man who uses ploys and sympathy to gain a vote.... Go OBAMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Oh well, I was taking literary license (knows no bounds).
Actually, I think Obama speaks well, I just think he is way to inexperienced to be Pres.
The only experience Bush had was being a Gov and he turned out to be an idiot (along with Rumsfelt).
What I fear the most from Obama is that he is so anti gun vs anti criminal.
The 2nd Amendment is the only amendment that protects the rest.
McCain is not nearly as antigun.
I can honestly say that I have not read up on Obama's stances on firearms. I only know what he said at the convention. Something like, "Don't tell me that we can't preserve the 2nd Amendment and still keep guns out of the hands of criminals." This makes sense to me, but, it's true that I haven't read his position paper on it.

The NRA does tend to over react, but what I have looked up myself is alarming.

The mantra, keep the guns out of the hands of criminals" is the favorite of the anti gun crowd.

Heck, if they anti's ever came up with a law that actually worked, I would not be as rabid about it.
Unfortunately, the only thing they have accomplished is to restrict guns for people that behave anyway.
I have no problem with the US or State Govs passing laws that affect misbehavior.
I have a big problem when they pass laws that turn normal behavior into something illegal.
Merely possessing a gun should not be illegal.
Using one to infringe on someones else's rights should result in a huge consequence.
Obama had a chance to vote for a bill to increase penalties for guns used in a crime near a school.
This would be misbehavior.
He voted no (or not present, I am unsure of that)
He proposed to make it illegal to buy or sell a gun within 5 miles of a school or park.
This would take a normally legal activity (gun shop) and make it illegal. It would actually eliminate most of the legal gun shops in this country.
That is just faulty thinking.
Read up on the Demar Defense Bill.
He was just so wrong on that vote.
Other than that, he does have a nice way of speaking.
But then, so did Reagen.
I still do not think he has paid his dues.

A GLIMPSE FROM THE PAST

A Soldier’s View of the Iraq War March 5, 2004

I am a cavalry scout in the United States Army. I am stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. We returned home Tuesday and I would like to comment on this war from a specialized soldier’s eyes. I honestly think the president lied to all of us. After seeing first hand what was in most parts of Iraq, my whole company could not fathom a threat of any means. I love America, and will defend her when called upon, but in this case there was not a real threat. By the way, the THANKSGIVING PHOTO-OP at the airport was only open to pro-Bush soldiers. We were screened unknowingly about four days before he showed up in secret. We didn’t know he was coming, but looking back, all the questions we were asked were designed to weed out the antiwar soldiers.

"U.S. soldiers went to their deaths in Iraq thinking that they were avenging 9/11 when Iraq had nothing do with it." --Richard Clarke,

"This is an oil-driven war, and I don't think any soldier signs up to fight for oil. When you try to find the justification and you think about WMD, and you think about terrorism and things like that. All you find is lies and you have no justification, you need that justification to be able to live with yourself."
--Staff Sgt. Camilo Mejia, who refused to return to Iraq because
he was disturbed by a gunfight that killed innocent civilians

psst. egotistical bush aka Caligula is quite famous for his photo ops. remember the photo op he gave at ground zero when he spoke through the megaphone? It’s quite obvious he never gave a damn for those who perished on that fatal day since he was more concerned about the performance he was giving. You could even tell that he was trying to produce crocodile tears to win an audience. I even recall carl rove-comparing bush to Henry V after the coward gave his stupid, bad and very cheap performance at Ground Zero.. sheesh…

You live in an alternate reality.

I don't care whether you believe the poll or not. You will experience its results.

Since your tone lacks civility, you may now screw off.
