I HOPE HIS PARENTS HAVE A JOB.

I HOPE HE DOESN'T NEED A 'SOCIAL WORKER'.

I HOPE HE WASN'T BORN WITH DISABILITIES THAT COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED HAD THE MOTHER ACTED RESPONSIBLY.

I just hope his parents can afford to provide a decent care and upbringing....

well...

I just hope he has a Legally Married Mother and Father.

Last we need is people who DON'T MARRY SO THEY CAN COLLECT ENTITLEMENTS!

Just checked out the story on Pioneer Press.

Parent's are NOT MARRIED.

baby was barely over 5 lbs.

AND YES THEY WILL BE SIPHONING TAX FUNDS.

unemployed early 20's.

why is it that more and more we are getting babies that barely weigh 5 lbs?

I was almost 8 lbs when I was born.
And I'm only 6ft 170 lbs.

how are you girls giving birth to so many defected babies?

You're right (as usual.)
We should all celebrate the fact that the Twin Cities' first baby of the new year was born to unmarried parents. It's just a sign of things to come!

not about being right.

did anyone actually read the article?

the baby barely over 5lbs was a twin. born to a MARRIED couple.

the boy alluded to in the o.p. was almost 6lbs.
not a preemie.
even the small twin..NOT a preemie.

and an assumption was made that the first couple was not married simply because of different last names.
article DID NOT say "not married."

as I said. some sadass lives must be being lived to go off on something one is only GUESSING at.

nothing in the article supports the o.p.

except possibly the two last names of the couple who had the single boy.

but then, not surprising. sadasses tend not to read or check anything out fully.

point was it did not say.
they have often said it that way, regardless of marital status.

other point was comments were made in which the stories were mixed together...all for the sake of a rant.
the o.p. just went off without keeping the article, which included two different families...

horse here is pretty dead.

Check to see if they are illegals. Lucky us in Minnesota that they had to make it here for the birth so all of ws could help pay for it at the U of M hospitals. Happy New Year and lets hope they dont invite all the rest of their relatives to come here.

fact is I have know people whos parents NEVER got married because that would DISQUALIFY THEM FOR WELFARE.

I know people who lived in one house, lived as a "family" but difference is they were considered "SINGLE MOTHERS".

You want to keep eroding marriage? Incentivize NOT being married?

I know a DeadBeat Father who doesnt work because STATE pays for EVERYTHING.
He got a subsidized home, free appliances, subsidized child care.

If he married? He would lose it all. therefore he wont.

unintended consequences are rampant in this bloated government

i remember a time when "marriage" was the next logical step. even if the couple was not totally in love, in order to deflect shame of unwed pregnancies....

now theres no shame in it anymore.

theres no shame in getting pregnant at 17 anymore.

theres no shame in recieving handouts.

theres no shame in getting something that you didnt theoretically work for.

theres no shame having 5 kids with 3 different men.

theres no shame . zero. none.

we dont hand out "food stamps"....we just hand out "cash cards"

we purposefully keep rationalizing their uncivilized behaviours to them.
we keep reinforcing that theres nothing wrong with not being able to support your responsibilities.

you have kids because u had sex. no one came and implanted u with donor eggs in the middle of the night without your consent.

considering how easy it is to avoid pregnancies.........
if u dont have a condom....and u cant control urself...cant u least withdrawl?
cut down chance even by 50%?

we as a society have entitled "parenthood"...

sure have sex and have babies.

others will pay for it cause we as a society cant turn our back on kids.
now we are held hostage by generation of illiterate wannabe adults who see no shame in being unable to being responsible for their actions.

unless pregnancy was forced on u....it was ur choice! ur actions!

some unmarried couples tend to have a much more stable homelife than many married couples do.
many unmarried couples have at least one if not more reasons to not get married. taxes for one. married tax penalizes married couples.

and not all disabilities are due to the mom's behavior. many are genetic. and it is up to that person with it if they consider it a disability. Nick Vujicic is one amazing person.
