What business is it of yours? You CLAIM to be in Iowa. Why don't you go post in an Iowan forum. You can talk about corn, corn, and the weather.

We don't neeed or want you here. Minnesota is a progressive state.

Go find another oddball extremist and argue about parking tickets or whatever weirdos like you do.

We actually talked to a City representative about this in a class. The parking revenue helps pay for city improvement projects that would otherwise have to come out of tax dollars. Even if the money does pay for a few decorative lights, they're decorative lights that aren't being funded out of taxpayers pockets.

And Minneapolis has decorative lights because Minneapolitans LIKE decorative lights. Looking at miles of cornstalks just doesn't do it for us like it must for you Iowans.

So the people who pay into this (not by choice) aren't taxpayers

Sure they have a choice... but they are on city property, so the choice is pay rent or fines.... Another teabagger wanting a free ride, based on buzz words.
