If that is what happened, it won't be the first time rose turned tricks or cheated & chris went nuts. But this scenario fits the story & her demeanor more so then a stolen item. We probably will never know.

Terrible situation all the way around. Worse when drugs and liquor are involved, and terrible that there are kids out here missing their father who was only looking for a job.
I wish Daniel luck and can only hope the legal system shows him mercy. He seems innocent of the crimes placed against him. Everything I have read and seen shows someone who just... wanted to have the dream. But sadly took the wrong turn and host family for it (No offense to the kids on here defending there family. I am sure you only see the good in your family just like I do.).

I hope Daniel gets out soon and can see people out here really did care and wished him the best, not everyone in Ky is back woods hillbilly mafia trying to get him hurt. Most of us just want the same thing he does: Our family to be happy. Good jobs, and spouses to have a safe place to sleep at night.

This thread has been, at the very least, a reflection of different perspectives on this tragedy. For the Mitchell family, and for Daniel, it will be painful for a very long time. I wish Chris's children well going forward. I wish Daniel a life of loving devotion to his family, for on this Thanksgiving Day, he has much to be thankful for. Again, to Aurora and Phillipe and to all the French film crew, please accept our gratitude for your faithfulness and friendship. I believe this young man and his neighbors were all drinking and it has to do with the husband being drunk and jealous of the good looking man that his woman wanted and all heck broke loose !!!! The man had to defend himself or die, what would you do ?

The more people find out different aspects of the scenarios leading up to that deadly encounter, the more convoluted the story becomes. We can guess and postulate and put forth all kinds of conjecture. Whatever the real story was, we may never know. If it was about mad jealousy, it is all the more tragic. From what has been said about Rose, she wasn't worth dying for.
