According to the news chris went after daniel with a spear like pole??? This may explain why charges haven't been upgraded yet. News sounded like there were a lot more detials presented in court yesturday.

. Well I was in court yesterday with someone else and I don't know either of the men but I sat thru the hearing. To me this was a matter of self defense. Both men drinking and the man that was killed came to the other mans home and attacked him with a frog gigging pole so it could have went either way I think.I know one thing the so called hatchet man did a lot of crying so that tells me he is sorry for what happened.I hope God will be with all of the involved.

By all accounts from witnesses in court Mr. Mitchell was the aggressor and Mr. Carter tried to warn him off verbally before the tragic encounter - tragic for both men and both families. So many inaccurate and untrue stories were told by the press in the immediate aftermath that made it sound like Mr. Carter was the agressor and that simply is not true.

Mr. Carter, yw all call hem, had stolen from my daddys house nd my dad confronted him. and this the part no one has yet to say something about is carter guy pulled a shot gun out and pointed it at my dad cuz he confronted him about it. and my little brother and sister and other childern were there. and carter gave the stuff back but broke it all before hand.. my dad does not fite with weapons. he didnt need to. plain and simple. but like anything needs to be explained to you all. cause it doesnt. you all need no concern over something that you could careless about. and the charges have been changed by the way. watch news and you would have seen that!

Meagan,
Dont bring yourself down to these people's level! You have lost your dad because of this whole situation, and no matter what the circumstances involving your dad were, he was still your dad, he had family who loved him, and these low life's who get on here & run their mouth about stuff they don't know, don't mean anything to you!!!! They are useless to you and everyone around them! It's not worth getting yourself worked up over, and it's not worth getting on here trying to defend him, people are always gonna speak about what they don't know, and they are always gonna cause drama and spread rumors. It ain't worth it sweetie, all you need to know is that your daddy loved you!

i say he probably did a lot of crying also in the case where he "killed his uncle in self-defense" in Florida. dont u think its possible that he may have been acting? he is seeking pity from people is all he is doing! cause boy if i thought i was going to prison i sure would be trying to rack up the pity points too, id be making myself cry too. what i think is that he thinks that he can get away with murder by using the self defense plea. worked for him the first time. he DOESNT DESERVE TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER! AND WHY DID HE EVADE POLICE IF IT WAS SELF DEFENSE?"

I'm sure Chris wife knows a whole lot more to the story. Did you see her on the news !!! I mean not a tear in her eyes as she was excitedly telling how her husband was killed. If you take a look at channel 18 and 27 news cast about the murder you will see that the wife's story just doesn't add up. I really think the wife should be investigated more.

maybe so but I find it interesting that Daniel can keep getting away with using the self defense plea..i find it a little hard to believe that he is scared of everyone because the one interview he stated he was scared of chris and im sure he said the same thing about his uncle. he doesnt strike me as the type to be that scared. how about you?and at the end of the day, he is the one who swung the hatchett, he admitted it. he deserves to be punished and whoever else may have been involved..but chris certainly didnt deserve to die.

Noone deserves to die like that and carter may have said same thing about his uncle. But seriously......are you saying you would stand there and let someone stick a frog gigging pole through you & not defend yourself?? I certianly would grab closest object and use it and if that object was it a hatchet then so be it!

dont u think hes playing the self defense card a little too much? and what about carter pulling a shotgun on him? everybody seems to be forgetting about that and can u tell me why carter ran when the police showed up..why if he thought he was in the right, would he run? and how do u kno that he was actually attacked by a frog gig?

furthermore, i wonder what u would be saying if this was someone u cared about? imagine if this was your sone, husband or father..would u still be saying the same thing?
