State board says no to UI law school branch campus in Boise
#1 Aug 21, 2008
Not too surprised. What would Moscow be if it didn't have the university? Not too much.
It seems that we went through a similar dilemma in the early 80's---when U of I was the only place to go for "engineering" classes.
It sounds like the other school is still planning to go ahead with starting a law school here in Boise---I'm sure that in the not too distant future, there will be a branch of the U of I law school here.
Wish the state would move ahead setting the foundation for a medical school here in the state.
What about all the "Buy Idaho" cries to keep money here in the state? Having a medical school may help keep money in the state---and kids in school---if they think that there's more jobs that require more schooling.
