You' waste your time trying to get rid of illegals. Americans are too mediocre or complacent. You' bark and bark but do nothing about the 'illegals' situation. No one raises up a petition, etc. This court thing is not going to work. Just like the climate situation, we are ignoring what can become serious to our existence. We made our beds. Snore away.

It is outrageous that illegals are getting in state tuition in Texas or any state. Yes, we are a nation of immigrants. That means legal immigrants. What part of illegal do people not understand? It means they are criminals. They have no right to be here. They are destroying our country. There are many politically persecuted people from other countries who have literally died because it took so long for them to be approved to come to America. These are the people America is designed to take. Mexicans are not persecuted! Mexico has great universities. They have a great county full of opportunities and resources. They are very intelligent and talented people. if they would have their own revolution and get rid of their horribly corrupt government. It is not right that other Americans in other states have to pay out of state tuition or are denied access to a university so someone who is illegal can attend. I am not anti Mexican. I have lived (legally) in Mexico.

unless you have lived in southern mexico you would know nothing about whether or not mexican's are persecuted. there is an unholy aliance between the drug lords and the catholic church. so yes evangelical mexicans are persecuted. hlands and homes taken, people killed, etc. we know of one village where half the people were driven from their homes, tsome of the men were tied up and put into bags and tossed into the river. most survived and were pulled out farther down river. the people wandered until another municipality gave them some land and some tarps. they lived in tents until they could sell some produce and start building their houses.
it is standard in the culture that girl's are taken athe age of 14 and claimed as some 20something guy's "wife". they are raped and then have no choice. however after a few kids the guy is free to dump them and get himself another. then you say they only come here for the money. yes most do but a lot come so that their kids can be free and they will take any risk to accomplish this.
yes mexico has a few good universities but only the rich can go to them.
now this conversation should be about innocent children who were brought here by their parents and have been sucessfull in our schools. they have the qualifications to be accepted at the college level. they have broken no law and most likely will graduate. we ought to let them become productive members of our society.
they can receive no federal funding nor federally guaranteed student loans. they will be paying in "cash" up front. the way the law is writen they can qualify for in-state tuition because they can show that they have resided in-state and have graduated from an in-state school. therefor they will have contributed to the tax base through sals taxes, gasoline taxes and realestate taxes. in one form or another their parents have paid income taxes.

You are absolutely right! America is made-up of inmigrantes, but the thing is now with 15 million Americans unemployed a lot of those people are having to go the colleges to learn a new career so they can support their families.
If the indocumentdos are allowed to attend the Texas colleges the thousands from the Middle Eastern countries that have "overstayed" their student visas will have to be given the same deal:

OK - so let's look at this and guess who wrote it and why. the question is first one of whether someone was in a hurry to reply to someone, and made typos because of the rush. not likely - the first comment. then the misspelled words and bad grammar are interesting - immigrants or immigrates, tiered or tired, racis or racist, opportunities or oppurtunities. These do not all look like mis-hit keys, if you will consider which might be and which are not likely to be. Tired and tiered could be, and so could opportunities and oppurtunities - these are likely typo mistakes. consider the grammar: you'll instead of you, or was it meant to be you-all? Yet this person typed in they're, when many make the mistake of typing their or there for they're, and vice versa. My question is whether this is indeed a white American racist impersonating a person who does not speak or write proper English. Look how it provoked such outrage - that could have been the deliberate intent. Or consider it could be someone who has English as a second language, combien de gens qui vivre en Amerique son capable de parler and ecrire dans une autre langue? My French is rusty, and I seldom wrote it anyhow. but I was trying to write how many people who live in America are capable of speaking and writing in another languge? I do strongly support having folks, whose first language is not English, learn good English skills. I do not think they should be permitted to never even try to get by without learning any English, or the polite and normal conversational vocabulary, at least. We have Amish people in our area, and they speak both English and German. How many Americans speak two languages? I like English as a very interesting and expressive language, and yet it is interesting to hear another language - especially sung with pretty lyrics and melody. I wonder how many of the anti-immigrant ranters would be willing to do the jobs they do, for the salaries they are paid? If not, aren't they just taking advantage of immigrants, especially the illegal ones who do not dare complain about abuses and exploitation by employers? and then complaining about the very folks they take advantage of, by benefitting from their cheap labor - in agribusiness monoculture harvesting of crops, in hotels and casinos, in landscaping and home services, etc?

well, somehow, without overt racial profiling, someone will have to pay attention to students from places which we suspect as sending terrorist "sleepers" here, but there are other groups who are also questionable, and should be targeted for special surveillance. It is really sad - the horrid divisions that religion has done in the world. just as racial and ethnic divisions are something to be sad about. not happy and proud about being bigoted.
