Obummer is going to have a problem with Mitt. He was a good Governor, far outshining any Democrat that held the office since 1954 when I came to MA. I wish Obummer would give our present Governor Patrick real job instean of making him the co-chair of his campaign. He cant even control the EBT KARDS that have gone wild on spending spree by the layabouts who are given them. They lose 20,000 Kards a month and get them replaced. They claim they were lost or stolen and get the money on their new KARD. Leave it to Dummy Krauts.

Yeah really! 47th in job creation! "Romney took office during an economic uptick. Massachusetts had a net job growth of 1.4 percent under Romney. However, that was far slower growth than the national average of 5.3%. As Romney's opponents have frequently, and correctly, noted, Massachusetts ranked 47th in job growth over the entirety of Romney's term. The only states that did worse: Louisiana, Michigan and Ohio." http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/story/2...

Wow, are you ever illinformed, or technologically challenged, not sure which.

The move to the cards was so that such claims could not be made, and this actually has worked. With the old food stamps they were able to sell them for cash and such with ease, thus the system was corrupted because of it. With the cards, if they lost their EBT they cannot claim the money or stamps were stolen, because you can't access those without the PIN. It works better than any credit card does, and even a fraudulent purchase on a credit card is hard to overturn without good proof. Saying someone stole the money off your EBT card is impossible, because you'd have to give them the PIN for them to access it and thus show you are also breaking the law.

Try reading sometime.

The basic problem we have is that we now borrow close to 50 cents of every dollar the government spends and Obama could care less. His "agenda" is to ruin the country financially. That's so obvious.

Saul Alinsky wrote the blueprint Obama is following.

Obama is nothing more than a hand picked socialist marxist shill who is trashing our financials.

Don't be fooled by the stock market. It's only gone up due to the dollar going down.

China now has the largest economy in the world with trillions in the bank. We are trillions in debt and borrowing half of our "budget" (Dems haven't passed a budget in 3 years).

We are pretty much screwed. And yet many Americans can't even name even name the 3 branches of the Federal Government, let alone understand anything else.

We got semi literat people voting for politicians who are pretty much looting the treasury.

CBO: Obama Budget Hurts Economic Growth

From The Hill:

CBO estimates Obama’s 2013 budget plan would hit economic growth

By Erik Wasson –
04/20/12

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Friday that President Obama’s 2013 budget will hurt the economy in the long term, arguing the larger deficits it would produce would reduce the amount of capital available to businesses.

Who woke up the CBO? Why has it taken so long to figure this out?

After five years, the CBO says, the Obama proposals would reduce economic output by between 0.5 percent and 2.2 percent.

Which, given that our GDP is hovering around 2% means Obama’s proposals could put us back into a recession.(Not that we ever left.)

Larger deficits caused by the budget would cause the government to issue more bonds, sucking up private capital to finance its debts and thereby reducing the funds businesses could use to expand and hire, the CBO said. An increased tax on capital gains included in the president’s plan would also tend to reduce private capital, it says.

The hell you say! It’s almost as if somebody at the CBO has been taking a course in economics.

What 'Gutsy Call'?: CIA Memo Reveals Admiral Controlled bin Laden Mission, Obama ad Lies. Why?

April 27, 2012
by Ben Shapiro

Today, Time magazine got hold of a memo written by then-CIA head Leon Panetta after he received orders from Barack Obama’s team to greenlight the bin Laden mission. Here’s the text, which summarized the situation:

Received phone call from Tom Donilon who stated that the President made a decision with regard to AC1 [Abbottabad Compound 1]. The decision is to proceed with the assault.

The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out. Those instructions were conveyed to Admiral McRaven at approximately 10:45 am.

This, of course, was the famed “gutsy call”(LIE).
Here’s what Tom Hanks narrated in Obama’s campaign film,“The Road We’ve Traveled”:

HANKS:
Intelligence reports locating Osama Bin Laden were promising, but inconclusive, and there was internal debate as to what the President should do.

VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN:
We sat down in the Situation Room, the entire national security apparatus was in that room, and the President turns to every principal in the room, every secretary,“What do you recommend I do?” And they say,“Well, forty-nine percent chance he’s there, fifty-one … it’s a close call, Mr. President.” As he walked out the room, it dawned on me, he’s all alone. This is his decision. If he was wrong, his Presidency was done. Over.
Only the memo doesn’t show a gutsy call. It doesn’t show a president willing to take the blame for a mission gone wrong. It shows a CYA maneuver by the White House.

The memo puts all control in the hands of Admiral McRaven – the “timing, operational decision making and control” are all up to McRaven. So the notion that Obama and his team were walking through every stage of the operation is incorrect. The hero here was McRaven, not Obama. And had the mission gone wrong, McRaven surely would have been thrown under the bus.

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Peace/2012/04/26...

The memo is crystal clear on that point. It says that the decision has been made based solely on the “risk profile presented to the President.” If any other risks – no matter how minute – arose, they were “to be brought back to the President for his consideration.” This is ludicrous. It is wiggle room. It was Obama’s way of carving out space for himself in case the mission went bad. If it did, he’d say that there were additional risks of which he hadn’t been informed; he’d been kept in the dark by his military leaders.

Finally, the memo is unclear on just what the mission is. Was it to capture Bin Laden or to kill him? The White House itself was unable to decide what the mission was in the hours after the Bin Laden kill, and actually switched its language. The memo shows why: McRaven was instructed to “get” Bin Laden, whatever that meant.

President Obama made the right call to give the green light to the mission. But he did it in a way that he could shift the blame if things went wrong. Typical Obama. And typical of him to claim full credit for it, when he didn’t do anything but give a vague nod, while putting his top military officials at risk of taking the hit in case of a bad turn.

The Write Stuff? HELL NO.

Why Biden's plagiarism shouldn't be forgotten.

By David Greenberg
Monday, Aug. 25, 2008

Teachers and scholars consider the unattributed use of someone else's words and ideas to be a very serious offense, but the public doesn't seem to mind much, at least when it comes to politics. The incidents of plagiarism and fabrication that forced Joe Biden to quit the 1988 presidential race have drawn little comment since his selection as Barack Obama's vice presidential running mate—just as revelations of plagiarism by Stephen Ambrose and Doris Kearns Goodwin scarcely hurt their book sales. In 1987, before Biden quit the race, he called the incidents "a tempest in a teapot." Although most reporters disagreed then, at least enough to pursue the story, they seem now—perhaps jaded by two decades of scandal-mongering—to have come around to Biden's view.

But Biden's exit from the 1988 race is worth recalling in detail, because his transgressions far exceeded Obama's own relatively innocent lifting of rhetorical set pieces from his friend Deval Patrick, which occasioned a brief flap last February. Biden's misdeeds encompassed numerous self-aggrandizing thefts, misstatements, and exaggerations that seemed to point to a serious character defect.

In some ways, the 1988 campaign—in which scandal forced not just Biden but also Gary Hart from the race—marked a watershed in the absurd gotcha politics that have since marred our politics and punditry. But unlike Hart's plight, Biden's can't be blamed on an overly intrusive or hectoring press corps. The press was right to dig into this one.

Unfortunately for Biden, more revelations of plagiarism followed, distracting him from the Bork hearings. Over the next days, it emerged that Biden had lifted significant portions of speeches from Robert Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey. From Kennedy, he took four long sentences in one case and two memorable sentences in another.(In one account, Biden said that Pat Caddell had inserted them in his speech without Biden's knowledge; in another account, the failure to credit RFK was chalked up to the hasty cutting and pasting that went into the speech.) From Humphrey, the hot passage was a particularly affecting appeal for government to help the neediest. Yet another uncited borrowing came from John F. Kennedy.

"You ... said that Barack Obama was not ready to be commander in chief."

Sarah Palin on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008
St. Louis, Mo.

Biden's words haunt him: True

Trying to challenge Sen. Barack Obama’s preparedness to be president, Gov. Sarah Palin used Sen. Joe Biden’s own words against him.

As Biden and Palin debated records on Iraq during the St. Louis debate, Palin noted,“You also said that Barack Obama was not ready to be commander in chief.”

Indeed Biden did. In an Aug. 19, 2007, debate among Democratic hopefuls, moderator George Stephanopoulos pressed Biden whether he stood by a recent quote that Obama was “not ready” to be president.

Biden said he stood by it.

It’s worth noting that in May 2008, Biden changed his tune.“He’s learned a hell of a lot,” Biden said.

Still, he said what he said. Based on those first comments, Palin’s assessment is True.

Bill Clinton: Voting For Obama Is 'Rolling The Dice'

05/25/11

The atlantic.com :

In a hard-changing interview with Charlie Rose tonight, Bill Clinton said Americans who are prepared to choose someone with less experience, are prepared to "roll the dice" about the future of America. "It's less predictable, isn't it? When is the last time we elected a president based on one year of service before he's running?"

"What do you want to do -- whether you think it matters that, I mean, in theory, no experience matters," Clinton said. "In theory, we could find someone who is a gifted television commentators and let them run. They'd have only one year less experience in national politics..."

Bill Clinton Says Obama Isn’t Ready

By PATRICK HEALY
NY Times
Published: December 16, 2007

Former President Bill Clinton made an unusually direct attack Friday night on Senator Barack Obama, one of his wife’s leading rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination, suggesting that voters who would support someone with Mr. Obama’s experience were willing to “roll the dice” on the presidency.

Appearing on “The Charlie Rose Show” on PBS, Mr. Clinton repeatedly questioned Mr. Obama’s preparedness for the White House, noting that he took office in January 2005 and became a presidential candidate about two years later.(Mr. Obama was an Illinois state senator before that.)

“When is the last time we elected a president based on one year of service in the Senate before he started running?” Mr. Clinton said.

At another point, he appeared to compare Mr. Obama to a “gifted television commentator” running for president.“They’d have only one year less experience in national politics” than Mr. Obama, he said.

Poverty continues to rise in U.S., now 15.1%

September 13, 2011
By David Morgan

WASHINGTON -- The number of people in the U.S. living in poverty in 2010 rose for the fourth year in a row, representing the largest number of Americans in poverty in the 52 years since such estimates have been published by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Median household income in the U.S. also declined.

The latest census data highlights the struggling U.S. economy, which has seen unemployment hover at around 9 percent for two years, and which will be a key campaign issue heading into the 2012 election season.

According to a report issued Tuesday, 46.2 million Americans were living in poverty in 2010, up from 43.6 million in 2009. Data in the Census Bureau covers the first full calendar year following the December 2007-June 2009 recession.

Obama boasts of assassinating American citizen in Yemen

By Bill Van Auken
1 October 2011

In a speech before a military audience in Virginia Friday, President Barack Obama boasted of the role of the CIA and US special operations units in the killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, a 40-year-old, New Mexico-born Muslim cleric.

It marked the first time in history that an American president has publicly applauded the government’s assassination of a US citizen, who in Awlaki’s case has never been charged or indicted for any crime, much less tried and convicted in a court of law.
