So-called free thinkers demand use of a religious private school's facilities and resources?
How does that constitute free thinking?
They sounds a lot more like free hubris.

The kind of hubris that translates permission to form a club into validation for a cause.

Free thinkers don't need university permission to form a club, obviously.
They do need university permission to use university facilities for club activities, which is really what they are demanding.
The university denies them this access, because their club activity inherently contradicts the private university mission, and the free thinker's cry foul like babies.
That's not free thinking at all; that's petulence, hubris, and jackassness.

"That's not free thinking at all; that's petulence, hubris, and jackassness."
LOL, they are college age kids after all. I have heard it said that the Marxists decided on the indoctrination of America's college age kids because young people tend to be militant, whiny, socialistic and myopic. Like every generation before them, they are certain they have uncovered a new truth, that of their own intellectual superiority!

You don't have to be a communist to be an atheist.
Neocoservative leaders are practically all atheist, but they are all proponents for capitalism, the opposition to communism.
The common profile of all neoconservative is that they are all national Democracy and Diversity (victim cult) advocates, love money and private wealth, and believe all individual rights are defined and protected by a powerful central government.
Diversity is a secular ideology, and many Diversity people are communist sympathizers too, so some people mistake all atheist as communist.
The arrogant free-thinking atheist at the university are probably Diversity proponents, the substitute secular faith of most atheist in the US. More than 80 percent of US voters are Diversity people, so probabilities indicate I am correct.
