To current Connecticut residents, Wilbur Cross is known for a landscaped parkway and for a building on the University of Connecticut's Storrs campus, both of which bear his name.

We studied several of Cross' speeches and proclamations back in school. Couldn't always agree with his politics, but the man evidenced character and dignity.
Compare that to the gratuitous mentions of gun-control and obamacare by the democrat 'skidmark' corrently staining the Office of Governor: http://www.ctmirror.org/political-mirror/2013...
