an issue is; some jobs do NOT require a college degree & others do.
A college degree does NOT promise fruitful employment. A person CAN be over educated or OVER qualified to get employment. DUH!!
I would hate to spend 4 or 6 yrs in school getting a degree in designing widgets & then end up cleaning Hotel rooms or delivering pizzas to pay the bills but it happens.
So does a degree in business mngmnt when that can be & IS a position that can be & IS filled from inside the company for hotels, motels, restaurants, small businesses (which are the backbone of employment) & so many more.
Students can lose their investment in education just like investing in the stock market, mutual funds, businesses etc.
College is NOT a surety of a job OR good pay.
