The analysis of the federal rule-making database shows Obama as of Tuesday had issued 1,004 final regulations since arriving in office. That’s fewer than his two immediate predecessors, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. This year, Obama is also on pace to put out the fewest “economically significant” regulations of any year in his presidency.

Ummm, you ARE aware of the fact that Obama has been in power for 3.5 years as compared to the EIGHT years of Bush and Clinton, right? Seems to me, with his record of that many in 3 years, he is set to outpace Bush and Clinton combined.

ABC News/Wapo Poll: Romney Holds 14 Point Lead Among Independents

In an ABC News/Washington Post poll conducted July 5-8, 2012, headlines declared the race between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama as "dead even", at 47-47 percent, among registered voters, but digging through the poll provides some very bad news for Obama and good news for Romney.

POLL: President Sinks to Historic Lows Among Blue-Collar MEN...

Romney extends lead among Independents to 14 percent -…
Examiner •

Jul 10, 2012 • In the new ABC News/Washington Post poll, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney extends his lead among Independents to 14 points, 53-39 …

Sixty-three percent say the country’s headed in the wrong direction. This is hard to dispute in light of the very disappointing May and June unemployment reports and the 41 straight months of unemployment above 8 percent during the Obama presidency.

The worse news of all for Obama is the sample used for the poll: The new poll used a sample of 33 percent Democrats, 24 percent Republicans and 36 percent Independents.

If Obama is "tied" with Romney among registered voters when the polling sample already favors Democrats by nine percent, then imagine a sample that was actually representative of the country. The numbers above would truly be devastating to Obama.

This isn't an outlier either, recently CNN/ORC also found that Romney is favored by 52 percent Independents on the economy, which polled as the number one priority issue.

CONCLUSION: ANY RESPONSIBLY SANE PERSON CAN SEE THAT WITH THE LIBERAL POLLS OVER SAMPLING BY 9% TO THE LEFT AND THEN TO SHOW THE RACE IS A VIRTUAL TIE IS NOT ONLY DISHONEST BUT IS SEVERLY MISLEADING.

Voters consider ObamaCare a tax hike, poll shows
Published July 12, 2012
FoxNews.com

By a wide margin, American voters say the federal health care overhaul is a tax increase, according to a national poll released Thursday.

The Quinnipiac University poll was released a day after the House of Representatives voted to repeal the law in the wake of the Supreme Court decision upholding it. Five Democrats defected and voted for the bill, no doubt leery of backing a law that Republicans have increasingly tried to describe as a tax increase.

In the latest poll, 55 percent of registered voters said they consider the law indeed to be a tax increase, while 36 percent said otherwise.

Claims that the law is a tax hike are fueled by last month's court ruling, which upheld the individual mandate on the basis that the fine attached to the requirement to buy health insurance is only constitutional under Congress' power to tax.

The Quinnipiac poll, though, did not specifically ask participants about the mandate fine -- so the results could reflect other taxes in the law not related to the mandate.

In a peculiar finding, the poll also showed that by 48-45 percent, Americans agree with the court decision -- yet by 49-43 percent, they also want Congress to repeal it

Don't overestimate the intelligence of today's American voter.
It is vital that we prepare our children for the dramatically devalued future they will endure if Obama is given the power to denigrate All things that made America WORK for four more years.
We must shoulder our parental obligations to prepare our children for the very worst.

"economically significant"?

There's a loaded phrase. Why not look at ALL the new regulations?

According to regulations.gov , since Obama took office 17,812 new rules (regulations) have been implemented.

For comparison, during the same period for the Bush administration there were, 6,830 new rules.

"...the number of economically significant rules — which have either a $100 million price tag or $100 million in public health benefits..."

So if it's less than $100 million, it's not "economically significant"?

To whom?

I'm curious how many new regulations were determined to be 'just under'$100 million so as not to be considered 'economically significant'.

As Paul Harvey would say, that would be "the rest of the story".
