That is wonderful news as Orlando is a great place to live. Congratulations to our law enforcement for doing a great job.

What a joke. All we hear about for most of the year is that droves of people, mostly those working in construction, landscaping and the tourism industry have moved out of the Orlando area. Our class sizes in schools have dropped dramatically and many of those kids were from families of illegal immigrants.

But then when the crime statistics take a big drop they try to say it's from good law enforcement. What did we do in the past? Nothing at all?

No, this is just another opportunity our local government has taken to take credit where it isn't due. Sure, we better be getting something for all the tax money going into these programs. But we know it is largly from temporary and probably illegal immigrant workers who have left.

It would be an even better place if we could get rid of the savages who are terrorizing this city. Why not go house to house in Parramore and Pine Hills with warrants?

You want to get rid of the savages? Make sure the laws on the books are strictly enforced. Start a neighborhood watch program...Don't move out!! Move back if you own a place. Invite hard working people back in. Every time someone moves because of crime, the criminals end up taken over more land.....Ban renting out single homes...Renters kill a neighborhood. You think you are getting money by renting, but what you are getting is, A breeding ground for more criminals. Stop apartment places from going up as well.

You could reduce the rate by 90% if you just started rounding up the blacks and spanics.

He probably means "people" like Desomond Owens, Derrick Williams, Kendrick Long, Jerome Bellamy, Evondria Bryant, Prentiss Jackson, Jason Roriguez.......

I culd list more, but there is only so much room on the world wide web.

Do you want another way to make sure you live in a safe neighborhood- make sure it has the demographics of metrowest and not pine/crime hills!

We could also stop hosting the "Florida Classic" and that would help to lower the crime rate in Orlando a bunch!

Folks a lot of crime is committed by crooked cops in Orange Co. Many people in Orange Co. have been falsely accused of crimes that the cops commit.Even ex-sheriff Kevin Beary has been under investogation a few time. I believe he still has a hearing coming up. Make no mistake Walt Disney Co. and Universal Studio's BREEDS crooked cops and security people! These theme parks protect the criminals they employ!

Yeah, it sounds like you smoke more poles than pot. And you're not fighting anyone; you're just another loser sounding off on a message board!

Huh? Are you a retart? Police do not prevent murders or any crimes, they don't even have the authority to stop a person to talk with them unless they have reasonable suspicion or probable cause.

The reason why crime rates and murders are down have nothing to do with police and everything to do with people choosing to not commit crimes or not having the opportunity to commit crimes.

Ha, they just sent another milwaukee cop to prison for two and half years for beating a handcuffed prisoner. One of the New Orleans cops that investigated the Danziger bridge massacre is now plead guilty and going off to prison, they just indicted a second ex-cop from that same N.O. police department scandal, more to follow I'm sure.

The crime rates are probably going downwards because of all the cops the US is putting in prison.

They would go down further if law abiding citizens would arm themselves. Police generally cannot stop a crime. They can find the guilty. If someone breaks into your house, calling 911 will not prevent someone from harming you. The only way to prevent someone from harming you is to ensure you can defend yourself.
