FCC chairman: Expanded broadband access would boost economy
Extending broadband Internet access to all Americans is "the great infrastructure challenge of our time," FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said today.

What is he talking about? Most everyone hasd broadband. We do not need yet ANOTHER government takeover to hand out more services on the taxpayers dime. What else is there left to give entitlements anyway. People practically do not have to get out of bed anymore. This guy is nuts. Boost the economy? I don't think so

"Although a majority of Arkansas has access to broadband, Connect Arkansas, a non-profit group that aims to increase connectivity, estimates a full 30 percent of the states population does not see its relevance." What they did not say is that many Arkansans had rather EAT or KEEP WARM than to pay $40-$60/month for DSL.
