Ms. Banda does not have the support of the ruling party. I believe that her falling out with the party was due to differences of political philosophy and other issues relating to governing. The lack of party support at all levels of the government will hamper President Banda’s ability to lead the country. Add this to the fact that she might be a lame duck president and it doubtful that any of her initiatives will be implemented.
