These grants total $600,000 dollars. I proposed at the 1st meeting a plan to keep some or most of the money local. My proposal was to include in the bid critera a preference for local firms, with more points added for having an office in Texarkana Arkansas, then Texas. Also points could be added for firms that employeed Texarkana Arkansas residents, then a lower amount for Texarkansas Texas residents. We could include some for county residence as well.
