Manuel Trinidad Pacheco

Presidential [U of AZ] Order: 17th president
Years: 1991-1997

Manuel Trinidad Pacheco was president of the University of Houston-Downtown when he was appointed as the 17th president of the University of Arizona in 1991. Prior to that he was president of Laredo State University from 1984 to 1988, executive director for planning at the University of Texas in 1984, associate dean of the College of Education at the University of Texas-El Paso from 1982 to 1986, and served in several other academic positions at other universities beginning in 1968.

Pacheco was born on May 30, 1941, in Rocky Ford, Colo. He received a bachelor’s degree in languages from New Mexico Highlands University in 1962. He went on to earn a master’s degree in Spanish in 1966 and a doctorate in foreign language education in 1969, both from Ohio State University.

Seems to me that Pacheco is biased in favor of hispanic students of all kinds, and doesn't have our country's overall best interests in mind.

It's a shame that these anti-white, anti-American subversives are allowed to prosper in *our* academic systems.

I'm all for dissenting political views, but I don't want to pay tax dollars to fund these jerk0ffs' bully pulpits. Let this guy go work for some privately-funded liberal 'think tank' if he wants to espouse anti-American views.

I hope Romney will disregard his advice. That will just add to President Obama's appeal withing the Latino community. Maybe Romney can sink to 10%.

The only people who want illegals to gain citizenship are the simple minded, We have laws. There is no reason we should design new laws to cover criminals. Half of them won't work, and are costly to the states when they should be taking care of Americans, and the other half takes the Union jobs our own people are waiting for, there are no good solutions.

This is not in the best interests of Americans...these "kids" would be stripping American students of their dreams. Americans should come first and foremost above all others in this country.

As soon as every American citizen who wants a college education is able to then we can think about educating illegal aliens.
