Mendenhall is just using this as a cheap gimmick to get free attention for his own run as mayor.

"Won't happen": that's exactly the same thing City Hall said about the passage of campaign finance reform, failure of the tax levy, and failure of Issue 8 (raw sewage deal). So much for astute predictions from Plusquellic & Co.

Our know-nothing mayor and his cronies at City Hall need to go!

Are you kidding me?? Akron is headed in the right direction. We are way better off than we have been in decades. He is bringing business and entertainment back to Downtown and all over. What are you all complaining about? Have you seen Cleveland as of late? Akron is in great shape and is going in the right direction. What is Mendenhall really going to do? Mendenhall will run is to the ground just like Cleveland's do nothing mayor. Plusquellic is an active politician who does do a lot for this city. You are all just looking for something to gripe about. He won the election, so over half the people like him. He is bringing so much revenue back to the city and you are chastising him for it. Akron is a great city and is in relatively great shape for the state of our country's economy. It seems as though no one has given a valid reason for the recall. All I read is a bunch of mud slinging and harping over petty comments. Watch what you say, slander is a horrible thing. You want change to city hall??? WELL WHAT CHANGE DO YOU WANT??? Do you realize you have to know that before you elect someone else, especially someone like Mendenhall who is on his knee-jerk power trip trying to advance his career. What besides the recall does Mendenhall advocate? This is all such a joke, get over it. Plusquellic won, he is leading our city in a great direction. This time tell city hall what you want because unless you tell them what you want a new politician doesn't mean change.

If we are lucky, the head of the Finance Dept will go with the Mayor. How irresponsible and incompetent could this person be to allow the City to issue so much debt?

plus they have approved reimbursement for people when they do not show receipts on travels...also approves payment for credit card charges that are personal...

and then takes no issue when one employee got a $2000 cash advance for a trip (overseas) and spent $1700 of it...were there receipts showing how the $1700 was spent??? nope....

obviously, the finance dept. rubber stamps things....(and most of her signatures on reimbursement requests ARE rubber stamps...)

That was quite a nice little tea party we had, eh? I'm back into my LeB outfit. Husband is weed whacking and edging and I am frying bacon and peeling potatoes. I've got some mushrooms that are on the edge, so I think that I will clean them up and stir fry them with the fresh green beans. I started marinating a London Broil last night. I've never had good luck grilling them. Maybe, after 24 hours of being in sea salt and fresh garlic and Paul Newman's Italian Dressing, I can grill something that doesn't chew like leather. Remember, how my sister was the neighborhood London Broil master griller? When they went on sale at Giant Eagle, she would have the butcher cut her up 2 dozen nice size ones. The way she made them would melt in your mouth. I know, I know, you can never go home again, but, I'm trying with the London Broils. BTW, we grilled Flat Iron Steaks last night. First time ever. They were pretty good. Have you [or anyone] had them? Any tricks of the trade? I made a Bourbon sauce and sweet mashed potatoes. Everyone was cool with that.

Oh, his puppetmasters are about to give him some good PR by allowing him to play city-hall-hero in closing down Playmates lounge.

And then those same puppetmasters will simply have that business transfer to another wretched corner of CrAkron. Probably just days after Sponge Don's Backpocket Beacon plants his orange visage on Page One, giving him laud and honor for closing this 'den of iniquity'.

BTW: Love to know who really owns that place. Bet we'd all have a good laugh.
