...so you think Bush took us to Iraq to hunt for Osama? Think about why we just can't leave Iraq today, and you'll have your answer. Its not that difficult an answer to uncover.

Obama signed into law legislation giving the Pentagon new power to curtail wasteful defense spending. McCain was a sponsor of the bill.

that is like putting the fox in the hen house to watch no harm comes to the chickens.

I think Obama needs to move on from the "bush sucks" thing and start taking responsibility. The Bush bashing isn't working anymore.

Isn't that what the President, from Washington to Obama, does anyway? Send in our troops and put them in "harm's way" only if the President, as Commander in Chief, deems it necessary?

You mean the far right has accepted that 2/3 of the Gitmo "terrorists" have already been released by Dubya and Cheney?

And those claims that some have gone back to the battlefield was done by the hand of Dubya and Cheney?

I think the far right needs to accept responsibility for the mess, before asking anyone else to stop blaming them for this mess.

Did Obama ever wear a uniform?..even a boy scout uniform?..did he ever have to take orders?..I would hope he had.To tell others what to do,or how to act militarily ,one should know whats its all about...not some speech makers words, and a "Prompter"but from some type of experience.

This guy never ran a company, never made a payroll, never led men in harms way,and suddenly he is called commander in chief!....better he defers to Gen. Powell,or Gen. Paterous, which I think he is....but as a symbole,OK....this a guy who would not salute the flag, made a ruckus about a flag lapel pin,and sat thru 20yrs of a racist GOD DAMMING AMERICA!......Who Really is Obama??
Time will revel the truth about him...so far this Packaged ,antiseptic, commodity of the Democrats just rolls along..ever clouded in a mystery!!

What was Cheney's experience? You know the architect of the Iraq invasion that cost trillions, created an Islamic state and haven and recruiting tool for terrorists, that alienated the world when it was behind us and left the military stretched thin.

So much for your claim to care about expereince.

They are more reliable and credible then say an administration that plans from day one to invade a country because it serves Dick Cheney's business model.

I don't think wearing a uniform - any uniform - makes you a good person, a good citizen or a good President.

In fact, it may make you better because you don't think uniformly, act uniformly and can think for yourself!

Something to ruminate on ....

Nor is the Obama bashing.

It gets very old, doesn't it.

Creative criticism, creative solutions, creative accountability and creative leadership.

That does not get old - even for the whiners and losers.

At first I read "UNRINATE"...but of course its "RUMINATE"....Sorry! ...

True, not disagreeing .However some of our worst wars ,we had civilians in charge...try Lincoln,FDR,LBJ,Clinton,to name a few.....best you review these inexperienced presidents. They took America Thur the greatest, and costliest wars ever....A True warrior became pres. Eisenhower.he knew war.he did not want to bring us to war.He took us out of that dam Truman's war,Korea!

Its the military alone who know the horrors of war. They take the costs.they are the ones who hate war.

All thru history its been civilian megalomaniacs, who seize control of a country, and promptly start wars.

In Obamas case,I ,rather we,all hope he learns quick...however,like others before,we are in a war...and no exit strategy, inhibiting the methods of war, curtailing the very name of war, causing a demoralization among those who do war.

He cannot apply the extreme left points of view in war...todays headlines show that. What Will he do..Kill thousands to placate his left base??I hope not.

He must learn That there is no substitute for Victory....so far he does not adhere to that basic princple.....like his retreating from Iraq.

Naw1 give me a a person who has experience in the job..need no more democratic O. T. J. T..

RUMANITE..greatword!..at least ya spelled it correct..if ya did not, the GIRLYBOYS would be upset...we do not want to upset sensitive GIRLYBOYS!..Heaven Forfend!!!!...LOL

The individual wears the uniform, the uniform doesn't wear the individual.

The military presents individuals with a the chance to improvise, adapt, and overcome.

Not everything in the military goes according to plan and you have to learn to be flexible and sometimes think outside the box. You learn how to effectivly use the assets and resources availabe to you, and to think on your feet in time of crisis. I also teaches you humility and to realize your not the expert all the time and you may need to ask for help..

But I wouldn't expect someone who never served to understand that..

It certainly makes those in the Pentagon much more powerful. Lobbyist will be beating their doors down even more than Obama's!
