Democrats would rather wait until we are totally bankrupt, and cannot pay our veterans a dime. They are addicted to spending money we do not have. They are dead set on destroying this country.

Biden is a total embarrassment. Obama would be wise to dump him.

Vice-President Biden’s speech to military families who lost their loved ones was very powerful and emotional and hit right to the core of why the American people don’t connect to Mormon RINO Mitt Romney… Romney could never talk and connect to people the way President Obama and VP Biden does because he see corporations as people as he takes pleasure in firing people or destroying their livelihood by shutting down a business and bleeding away all its assets for profits and leaving people without a pension all while laughing his ass off about it.
MARINE IMPOSTER--what about the military looking for any excuse they can find to kick soldiers out of military since they have drawn down troops?boot a soldier out with 19 years in and they loose all benefits and retirement?what a chickenshit thing to do but since you are chickenshit its just like you!!!

Obama and Biden are out trying to decimate the military, and now he goes to West Point and talks a bunch of crap.
It is HIGH TIME we decimate our military! US military spending totals are more than ALL of our allies combined. We need to stop being ready to fight WW2 over again -- we don't need bases all over the world in peaceful allied countries, and we don't need a huge conventional force ready to fight a multi-continent conventional foe. There are NONE!

In case you haven't noticed, ALL our skirmishes since 1945 have been vastly smaller in scale, and frequently against small guerrilla forces where B52s and aircraft carriers and destroyers are simply not what works to win. In case you didn't notice, heavy armaments and tactics did NOT win in Vietnam!

Republicans are determined to INCREASE military spending -- even above what the Pentagon requests. They are clearly more interested in continuing the nearly unlimited flow of taxpayer dollars to their contributors in the military-industrial complex than in doing what is right for today's military needs, nor what is right for the American taxpayer.

The reality in the real world is that the US has been the guardian of world peace and freedom for many decades, defeating bad and keeping evil nations in check. If you think the pansy ass Europeans (especially the French) or any other nation would ever do their share, you are living in dreamland. The world is still a very dangerous place and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. JFK put it very well, if we don't do it, no one else will, and that has not changed (at all). Now days the scallywag liberals want to decimate the military so that money can be used to buy votes with more social welfare spending, giving a whole lot of undeserving people a free ride in life.

Well, the Borrow-and-Spend Conservatives refuse to actually PAY for their wars -- remember multiple tax cuts DURING two wars? Maybe Liberals are now the Party of Fiscal Conservatism -- by demanding common-sense reductions of Cold-War era armaments and starting to actually PAY on the national debt INSTEAD of wildly increasing it (as Bishop Romney and Rep Ryan BOTH propose with their "plans.")

Remember, Clinton was on the path to serious reduction of the cumulative national debt -- but then Bush Lite stepped in and brought back enormous deficits.

How about a Truth In War Disclosure Act? The administration must lay out probable and realistic costs of conducting the War du Jour, with proposed aftercare costs as well. Perhaps a monthly tally of costs, in addition to the tally of dead and wounded?

This would give a clear-eyed look at the costs of ideology, as opposed to the last Administration both keeping the costs of the wars "off the books," AND attempting to play down or outright conceal the steady stream of caskets coming home from the fronts.
