85% on the study done said the people of palmer wanted the casino,I think if our reps are trying to get it elsewhere then maybe we should think about who we put into office next time we vote.Sure put in Warren where the land is owned by the state and some more reps hmmmmmm.Palmer needs this before we have nothing.Think of taxes and JOBS our town keeps running them out of town.Try starting a new co. here they make it so tough better go to another town.Lets build the casino already...

I think you better look into the true facts about this casino. Since the casino came to CT we have tripled the taxes due to the casino hires a lot of foreigns. This puts a burden on the school system, having to hire special teachers to teach the children English. They had to lay off our teachers, so no our children are in too large of a classroom, where the teachers have a problem teaching that many students. These people have NY addresses, so do not pay taxes in our state. They will move 20 people in a 2 bedroom apt. so this is a problem with the houseing authority, they will have to hire more to keep checking on housing problems. The police dept. has doubled due to crime, not only murder, robbery, but embezzelment. The jobs are low paying and they do not care if you are sick they will point you out in no time. No I am not a upset ex employee, I still work there, but looking elsewere for a job, due to the unfair employment practice.

Does Palmer understand that the Mohegan received 54 million in federal aid stimulus money this year?

Do you think the casino going into your town will pay for any of it? You will be paying for any federal or state funding it receives as it appears the casino owners would rather hit up the politicians for aid and not pay their fare share at all. We will be paying for it! I hope it does not come into our state or area, it is just crime and corruption and we are footing the bills.

The Mohegan owners are the same owners coming into Palmer, there are 2 of them not just the Indians and the other one is the Atlantis Resort owners worldwide. Now honestly do you not think they could afford to build their own casino? Why of course they can but they are taking our tax dollars from us to do so and will continue doing this.
