A conservative group has compiled a list of officers in an effort to block President Obama's plan to repeal "don't ask, don't tell." Two retired, four-star Army generals, James Lindsay, 76, and Carl Stiner, 72, have signed a letter and circulated it along with a statement to their colleagues urging the president and Congress to preserve the gay ban. Not surprising. Desperate, but not surprising. DADT WILL be lifted. Equal rights for ALL will eventually prevail. Get over it and thank the women, gays, & lesbians for fighting and dying for your freedom to be an idiot.

Like I'm sure they did all they could to help elect Obama so Obama owes them his allegiance... NOT. If Obama listens to these blowhards instead of reason, justice, and acknowledging those who supported him I'm sure I wont' be the only one who is really pissed! If gays hadn't supported him I doubt if Obama would have been elected, and I'm sure he won't be able to win reelection without gay support. So far I'm not impressed with his inaction on gay issues. It seems he has pressed forward on every issue except gay issues. He won't get my vote next time unless real progress is made. Is he listening?

So a couple of ancient, retired officers don't like the idea of repealing the ban. WAAAAH. Something like 76% of the rank and file say that they have no problems serving with LGB soldiers. It's time that the so-called "leadership" got with the times and catches up to their followers.

I see several acts of desperation here. The commotion is being caused by Elaine Donnelly, a clueless homophobic female who obviously has no concept of being born with a different orientation other than hers; and who really has no relevance to military policies and operations.

She is so desperate to justify her vendetta that she has to go all the way back to retired military people from the Korean War era for testimonials to reinforce her bigotry. This woman is stuck in the dark ages!

They need to use Elaine Donnelly a lot more. Every time she opens her mouth it makes people realize how irrational she is. And the fact that she has ZERO military experience doesn't really help her credibility either.

You really don't deserve a reply, but since you obviously are completely ignorant of the concerns GLBT have let me TRY to educate you interms you might understand and relate to.

Bubba the racist homophobe is elected to Congress by the support of those who trust he will put forth bills that support segregation of blacks and out right extermination of gays. Bubba is slow to to put forth such legislation OR is completely silent on these issues. Now what do you think is going to happen to Bubba the next time election comes around?

Get it now?

And all we're asking for is EQUALITY. Sheeesh!
