There are 26 comments on the www.forbes.com story from Jun 9, 2010, titled Say No to Immigration Reform. In it, www.forbes.com reports that:

Americans already spend far too much to support a huge illegal population. Enforcing existing laws might encourage self-deportation. "Comprehensive immigration reform" is a euphemism for amnesty.

Illegal immigration is a racial issue. Whenever you Americans talk about illigal immigration you all point your fingers to the Mexicans, racists I say!
I'm British, Caucasian, and I'm here in the US illegally yet I can drive and do normal things like everbody else do. I haven't been stopped or questioned about my status. All I can say is you Americans are just racists.

Since most would self-deport once the benefits of being here dry up, the rest will be a whole lot cheaper to deport than keeping them here and supporting the invaders.

BS? All this hate against them are BS.
Have you ever thought that your government's invasion of Iraq and Afganistan is illegal? Have you ever considered that the Iraqis did not want your troops to stay there any longer? Speaking of the troops -- do they have visas while staying in Iraq and Afganista? If none -- so lets consider them illegals.
Its ok for you to think that invading foreign countries is alright? You are hypocrit!
Are you freakin kidding me? Our troops didn't move there, don't want to stay there and make no claims that they need to reside there. Your whole comparison is apples and oranges.

The term "American" is used to describe one of the most ethnically and racially diverse Countries on the planet.

This proves that you are nothing less than what you accuse "Americans" of being.

Meanwhile, can you please tell us about the ethnic and racial diversity of your Country of origin? We could all use a good laugh after reading your hypocritical propaganda.

BTW, I sure hope you Brits don't think that we'll rescue your sorry rears the next time you get yourselves involved in a another world war that you have no hope of winning, let alone surviving (without massive aid from other Nations).

For those that won't self deport, it may cost us but well worth the price . You are clueless, we spend billions now, year in year out for prisons, for crimes illegals commited, court costs, welfare, fraud etc etc all because of illegal aliens. Don't get me started on the fradulent citizen anchor baby losers.

If our government had the best interests of this country and her citizens at heart we wouldn't have to pay to deport illegals. If they would make E-Verify permanent and mandatory for every employer in the country the jobs would dry. It should also be retroactive to check the status of current employees to weed out those not legally eligible to work in this country. If that were done, most, if not all illegals might just give up and go away. Of course the government would also, by ANY means necessary, have to make our borders IMPENETRABLE!

But the sad truth is the government just doesn't care what's best for this country anymore. They have their own agenda, to stay in power/office, and they do whatever it takes, be it good or bad for the country, to achieve that goal. Get out there in November, America, and VOTE OUT THE INCUMBENTS!
