Britches was the name of a stump-tailed macaque monkey who was born into a breeding colony at the University of California, Riverside in March 1985.

Actually, animals in captivity live longer lives than those who are in the wild. They also do not have to hunt/forage for food. Because of human intervention, animals live longer and easier lives.
