GOP sees need to woo Asian-American voters GOP sees need to woo...

Republicans admit they have a problem with Hispanic voters. They have an even bigger problem with Asian-Americans, a group that less than 20 years ago was a majority GOP voting bloc.

Buy TIPS, right. Do you really trust our treasury to calculate the real rate of inflation?

Wow, at least she has the right to speak her mind, no matter how angry it makes white guys.
I reserve the right to say anything that white guys don't want to hear. Its a free world buddy.
Yes, you are free to continue to be an ignorant racist.

It's got nothing to do with "white guys." I just don't like low IQ racists like yourself- whether they be white, Asian, or otherwise. You are no better than the white guys with the Hoods in the KKK.

Ignorant racists are the same wherever they come from. You have much in common with ignorant white guys in the KKK.

It's a free country. You are allowed to be an ignorant racist. But don't be a chicken shit and try and deny it after the fact. Be a man and own it!

Yup.
The only problem is, Republicans cultivate their "brand" as "anti-" everything non- white/WASP.
They drive away even those who would seem to be on their side.
That's also because too many Conservatives have these beliefs as if it's still 1940 or something.

Adapt to the times or fall to the winner, it will happen again next time and to a candidate not named Obama.

No. The KKK lynches and kills blacks and minorities.

I, on the other hand, want white women to know that Asian guys are handsome once you go outside of the "American" media's influence.

Two vastly different things.

Of course, I threaten you. You don't want white women to chase after Asian guys.

You don't want your house of cards to come crashing down.

Guess what. You can't control women and tell them what to do. Its a free world buddy.

Silicon Valley is where it all happens. Not wherever crappy area you are from buddy.
Again, your limited intellect interferes with your ability to comprehend what I said.

I said that some "tech geeks" are limited to technical rather than management jobs because they don't have the skill set required to move into management.

That does NOT mean that NO tech geeks can do it. I'm one myself, and I've been both a manager and an entrepreneur.

And no, Silicon Valley was not started by foreign born tech geeks. I took an elective class on the history of technology at either RPI or MIT (I can't remember which). I remember that the primary forces behind the foundation of Silicon Valley were American tech geeks like William Shockley (the man who put the "Silicon" in "Silicon Valley"), as well as those who left Shockley Semi conductor and formed Fairchild Semi (the most important being American tech geeks Gordon Moore, Sheldon Roberts, and Robert Noyce, though there were a couple of foreigner born geeks among the 8 who started Fairchild). You could also toss in people like William Hewlett and Dave Packard, even though they weren't really part of the group that was behind the "silicon" in Silicon Valley (they were also both American, btw).

If you are going to talk, at least educate yourself first. Learn a little history.

BTW, my wife is from there. After moving to the US, she went to prep school in Atherton- a stone's throw from Menlo Park, Palo Alto/Stanford- where the "Silicon Valley" started.

However, neither of us has any desire to live anywhere near the Silicon Valley. It's overpriced, overcrowded, and frankly not a great place to live unless you NEED a job in tech. The people there are only slightly more friendly than those on the east coast (NYC, Boston, etc). No thanks.

We can afford to live anywhere we want, and we don't need "tech jobs" of the sort available there, so we choose not to live anywhere near there. The Silicon Valley isn't even in our top 100 places to live. Heck, I wouldn't live anywhere in the State of CA- the state is a mess. If I had to to move to the West Coast, I'd probably move to Portland.

If both parties would concern themselves with doing what's best for our country instead of basing their decisions on what they perceive will be best for their own reelection and their party, we would be much better off. Unfortunately, politics, not good sense, rules this country. Both parties suck.

Dude, you're an idiot. Why would I care if "white women" dated Asian guys? I married an Asian girl. My brother in law (a confident, well educated, intelligent Asian guy, unlike you) has a white wife- they are happily married and have 2 great kids. BTW, he had tons of girl friends (white and otherwise), because he wasn't a pathetic, whiny loser like you. He is intelligent, confident, and a good guy. If you had any self confidence, you'd be able to date anyone you want, rather than whining about how "the system" is stacked against you.

Look in the mirror, kid. The reason you couldn't get women (regardless of race) is looking your right in the face.

FYI, genius, YOU are the one trying to tell women what to do (trying to tell Asian women not to date non-Asian guys). You are the insecure little geek. I think men and women should date whomever the Hell they please (and I've said so right from the beginning).

BTW, the only person "threatened" by a weak, whiny guy like yourself is another insecure loser. That ain't me, kid, so you'll have to take that weak shit somewhere else.

I'm not "threatened" by you. I pity small-minded, weak, insecure boys like you.

Oh, I am sure there are a lot of people at Samsung Electronics that will disagree with your notion that Asians make bad managers. LOL

Remember, right now its the white managers who are innovating at Apple, not the Asian managers. Right.......

The only reason Silicon Valley can't be replicated in the East coast is very very very simple.

Its not that people care what white guys like YOU do. You currently don't matter.

What matters are the ASIAN AMERICAN software engineers and where they want to live. Simply put, Asians love California. So thats why Silicon Valley is currently in California. There's no other reason really.

Everything you listed was hardware products. Well guess what, Research and software far far exceed hardware in Silicon Valley. So really to even address your points means little. You don't matter to Silicon Valley. It thrives without you. But it cannot thrive without Asians. Period.

Have a good day.^_^V

Oh okay. You have an Asian American brother in law who married a white girl.

Well, okay. As you can see there's a lot of weird white guys on here, so its quite understandable to associate you with a weird white guy. There's tons of them.

Btw, try asking your brother in law about how he feels about American portrayals of Asian men in the media.

Just try asking. You'd be surprised at how common my views on that are.

Uh, I've had white ex gfs. LOL. Personally, Id rather date a white girl who speaks Korean, than an Asian girl who can't speak her parents language.

Anyways, try asking your brother in law about how he feels about the media portrayals of Asian men. i.e. you can even ask him if he knew that white producers cut out Bruce Lee's sex scenes with a white girl in Enter the Dragon.

Try asking him. I bet you won't though, because after all, you want to only be self serving. No surprise there.

well the white guy over there was butt hurt by the idea of asian immigrants getting visas to start businesses in silicon valley.

he couldn't cut it. he wasn't good enough to make it there. so he blames asian immigrants for raising the bar to make silicon valley too high of a level for him to cross.

the thing is, if that level wasn't high, then silicon valley would be just as uncompetitive as the places he worked at.

Obviously, Asians have an inshakable believe in competition.

tests are very important. i.e. government civil service exams are no joke. only the smartest will get government positions.

only the smartest go to top schools.

only the smartest go to the top companies.

etc.

etc.

But if you think that Asian Americans don't notice that whites in America only believe in competition as long as they have an advantage of asians, you are sorely mistaken.

All Asian Americans know this. Every single one. We all know your believe in "competition" only applies when whites get an advantage for their skin color.

I don't see what nationality has to do with anything. If anything, I view this story as a negative for the Republican party. They are more or less saying that ingratiating themselves with Asian voters is more important than the country or anything else. This is another example of politics, not logic, ruling this country.

Not even close. See, unlike you, he could date just about any girl he wanted, regardless of race. He wasn't a pathetic, whiny Asian guy wishing he could have a white girl, and failing to get one because of his pathetic insecurity (like you), and being forced to settle for some ugly girl.

See, it's not about race, it's about YOU.

If someone comes off as a whiny, pathetic, weak, sniveler who blames others for his own shortcomings, quality women are going to avoid you. Sure, you will find some unattractive and/or insecure girl and "settle"- but you won't get the intelligent, confident, good looking women.

It's not because you are Asian, it's because you are weak and whiny- women don't like weak, sniveling men who blame others for their problems, regardless of race. It's too late to give you this advice now, but maybe I can help another guy in your situation to realize that the problem is with HIM, not with the women, not with "racism" and not with society.

BTW, my brother in law is a doctor. He's a nerd, too- got his undergrad degree in biomedical engineering and worked, coincidentally, in the Silicon Valley for a couple of years before deciding to go to med school. But he's a CONFIDENT nerd who doesn't mind being called a nerd. He wears it as a badge of honor. Kinda like "yeah, that's right, I'm a nerd, and I make $300,000 a year and my car is worth more than your house, bitch." He doesn't walk around with his head down, complaining about how life isn't fair and "blaming white guys" for taking "his" women. Women (of all races) are attracted to guys like him, and not to guys like you. Not because of "race," but because of the way he acts and carries himself. By the same token, women are not attracted to weak, sniveling nerds.

The bottom line: It ain't about race, it's about people. Give women what they want, and you'll do great, whether you are white, Asian, black, or Hispanic. Come off as a whiny sniveler, and women will walk the other way, no matter what your race is.

So my bottom line is, try to date whoever you want, regardless of race. But don't expect you have a "claim" on certain women because you are of the same race. You've got to go out that and win them over- and if you don't, don't be surprised if some "evil" white (or Hispanic or Black) guy comes and takes "your" women. Asian women aren't obligated to date a whiny guy just because he's Asian and thinks he has some sort of "claim" on them.

If you have kids, I hope you teach them that they can date anyone they want, regardless of race.

First off, you aren't even close when you say "only the smartest get government positions." Government jobs are for mediocre people with no ambition.

I believe in 100% meritocracy. Schools and companies should take only the best, regardless of race. I don't support quotas to "help oppressed minorities," nor do I support reverse discrimination against those racial groups that tend to do well (e.g. whites and Asians regarding school selection).

BTW, I've never been afraid of "Asian" competition. I'm better than all but a tiny fraction of a percentage of Whites, and I'm better than all but a tiny fraction of a percentage of Asians.

BTW, my wife (you know, that Asian girl I "stole" from "your people") is the first girl I dated who had a better SAT math score than I did- I like smart girls, so I married her (well, she was kinda hot, too). Because hot girls get old, and listening to a dumb, formerly hot girl would get old real fast. But smart girls stay that way, even after age 40.

You are probably right. If the Republicans keep up the same old "we hate just about everyone who isn't a WASP" attitude, they will likely lose if the Dems choose a half-way competent candidate.
