This is done so Governor Brown and his Sacramento Cronies can solidify his $150/parcel "fire tax".

Many of us live in areas NOT protected by Cal Fire, they are protected by County, City or local fire districts (Running Springs, Crest Forest Fire) so we are NOT subject to the "Fire Tax". There are NO "Cal Fire stations from the I-15 to Big Bear.

Moving Calfire equipment and personnel into these areas, give Sacto the "Camel's Nose Under The Tent" and a justification for the $150/parcel tax.

This tax does NOT fund additional firefighting. It funds "Fire education". Like: "Don't start forest fires"... as if anyone doesn't know this already.

The big danger, is that some of us have modern homes built on old parcels. The parcels that I live in are 25 feet wide by 150 feet deep. So for my 2000 square foot house, it has to sit on FIVE parcels.

That means, many of us with 2-3 bedroom homes, will be forced to pay not $150, but $750 - with NO additional firefighters, fire engines, water supply or aircraft.

The areas that these fire engines and personnel come from are HIGH FIRE DANGER areas, so those areas now have reduced protection! WHY would the state do this if there was not SOMETHING IN IT FOR THEM? They are sacrificing the desert and mountain interface areas for the stupid and illegal $750 TAX
