Jul 22, 2012 Full story: Hattiesburg American 9

The shooting suspect who went on a deadly rampage inside a Colorado theater planned the attack with "calculation and deliberation," police said Saturday, receiving deliveries for months which authorities believe armed him for battle and were used to rig his apartment with dozens of bombs.

A guy walks into a theater armed to the hilt and shoots everyone. Authorities say: "He planned it."

How many people are out there that have been raised on addictive prescription drugs, to quite them down, boost them up, to quell anxiety, mood swings, etc. There are so many drugs on the market that unleash more harmful residual effects then what the drug was originally prescribed for -- not to mention illegal recreational drugs, which alone screws up ones thinking process.

How does a guy like Jared Lee Loughner and James Holmes lose their grip with reality in the planing and the execution of innocent folks? Obviously, those like Loughner and Holmes are shy 1 brick of having a full load. Methinks there is a correlation of extended use of both prescription drugs and the hard stuff, and living in fantasy land with only their marbles to keep them company.

Hollyweird is not off the hook either, with the gratuitous violence and morally defunct material they push as entertainment -- is a corrosive stew for those already mentally ill that can't separate fantasy from reality.

We live in a screwed up world, in more ways than one can count....

All the talking heads keep on asking what were the signs or how could this have been prevented. But aren't this guys behaviors prior to the shooting in public the norm in many circles. If every American was pulled in for a police interview or committed to an institution for his preshooting behavior there would be no one left or a full scale revolution.

So what he dropped out of school. I think the college/BA completion rate is around 50% for many schools. And yet the talking heads are screaming that the college-the business he ceased doing business with should've counseled him. He no longer decided to do business with that medical school-so what, it's his money.

They say he was a loner and was on a dating site. Online dating is a huge business to the point many sites advertise on regular tv. They say he smoked pot, as much as I detest drug use have to admit a large chunk of the US population uses/abuses drugs.

He bought a large capacity magazine. How many are sold for novelty or recreational purposes without incident. It does show his intent but how many shots did the shooter get off. As he found out large capacity doesn't necessarily mean efficient especially without training & maintenance. In his case it does show intent.

Same for the bomb materials. How many invading armies have been stiffled by improvised mutions through the centuries. They say necessity is the mother of invention. His needs included booby traps & mass destruction. His desperate need for death & destruction for what ever reason motivated him to design & deploy the devices. I don't care what he learned in chemistry class or read on the internet it was his warped agenda, his rage, his personal opinions and problems that motivated him.

But was his pre shooting behavior all that unusual.

“i hope we can change this!”

Don't need to attack gun rights. What needs to happen is for law-enforcement to start profiling these homegrown terrorists, and not just muslims.

Most of these homegrown look like Dylan Klebold, McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and this Holmes guy in Colorado.

Gone are the days when we can dismiss potential terrorists because they are not dark skinned.

Homegrown terrorists right now are plotting civil war in this country and they are conservatives, right-wing, race supremacists.

Colorado has a thin air problem.

Not enough oxygen gets to their brains.

Blast Denver down about a mile and it would do wonders for increasing the sanity of its residents.

This guy is just another left wing extremist nutcase, probably set up by fellow democRATS to justify abolishing the Second Amendment.

He probably converted to islam a couple of years ago.

He could have been a liberal, since he believed in education.
