I love discoveries like this. The evolution of early animal life is one of science's great mysteries.

Charles Darwin in Origin of Species: "When I view all beings not as special creations, but as the lineal descendants of some few beings which lived long before the first bed of the Cambrian system was deposited, they seem to me to become ennobled."

Today.. "This paved the way for the evolution of animal feeders living on the seafloor," Love said. "We believe we are converging on the correct date for the divergence of complex multicellular animal life, on the shallow ocean floor between 635 and 750 million years ago."

I think he's out celebrating, for:
"It's the birthday of Bob Marley, born in the village of Nine Mile, Jamaica, in 1945. He left home at age 14 and headed to Kingston to make his way as a musician. He made reggae music an international phenomenon with songs like "No Woman No Cry," "I Shot the Sheriff," "Three Little Birds," and "Redemption Song," with these famous lyrics: "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds."
