Total waste of taxpayer money. It shouldn't take FDA research to prove that candy is unhealthy. While we should acknowledge the FDA's efforts to keep us safe and healthy from unexpected complications in the food we we eat, they need to focus on the real issues such as preventing the increasingly common outbreaks. This is simply the FDA's attempt to repair their image after after botching the recall of listeria-ridden cantaloupes. Instead of attacking every consumable vice the FDA should work on reducing the amount of contaminants they allow in our food. Take a look for yourselves…: http://eng.am/qbfYkY
